Speedy entered his home tower and walked to Aqualad's room. He sighed and knocked on the door. Aqualad opened the door. "Speedy I thought you left" Aqualad looked at his feet.
"Can we talk in your room?" speedy asked shyly. "Oh yea, um sure." the two boys walked into the room and sat on the bed. "So uh, look Aqualad, Im.." Aqualad shook his head "Me first." Speedy shrugged and waited. Aqualad wrapped his arms around Speedy's waist and pulled him forward, Speedy blushing red. Aqualad whispered in his ear "Im gay an in love with my best friend too." He then pulled him in closer and continued to kiss him. At first speedy just sat there stiff and staring, but he soon melted into the atlantean's embrace and placed his hands around his neck. They kissed for what seemed like an eternity. They finally let go and Aqualad sat in speedy's lap and yawned "so now what?" speedy placed his chin on Aqualad's forehead, "I guess we keep it a secret." Aqualad nodded his head lightly and soon lulled to sleep. Speedy smiled and put him under the covers and kissed his forehead. "I love you Aqualad." He petted his head then quietly left to go to his own room. Aqualad turned over and smiled "I love you too Speedy."
