I finally woke up to the moans of Garth. I must have drifted asleep. I checked on Aqualad, and he was sweating but shivering. I felt his head, and it was burning. I wrapped him in a quilt and put a cool cloth on his head. I had no clue besides that of what to do. So i whent to the common room and told bee Garth was sick. I didn't tell her about the whole creepy demon thing, Aqualad had been through enough already. Well she flipped her s&@! anyways. I tried to calm her down and told her everything was fine. Welp that didn't work at all. She insisted on seeing him. When she walked in she turned full nurse mode while scolding me the whole time. she popped a thermometer in his mouth and when she pulled it out she glared at me. EVERYTHING IS FINE MY BUTT! He has a temperature of 170! Well I knew atlanteans had higher body temperatures to compensate for the cold sea waters, but even I knew that was way too high. Bumble bee grabbed a bucket and put it by his bed. She then stirred in salt to a glass of water. Confused, I asked what she was doing. She gave me one of those you got to be kidding me faces. He's from the ocean idiot, you know sea water?!? You need to learn about Garth some more, I thought you were a couple. Bumblebee left and I decided to strike conversation with al.

You know, your lavender eyes are even pretty when your sick, I said smiling cheesily. Aqualad looked at me I was surprised he could respond.

These "lavender" eyes are a curse he said with such a straight face it threw me back in shock. I guess he could notice as he un winded a tale I never knew. (some of the following things derive from the original dc comics)

AQUALADS POV

I was born in Atlantis my mom being Queen Berra and dad, King Thar. (Before his birth) My dad's brother Zarth, who was banished (due to dark sorcery and necromancy) killed my father along with radical iddylists. Before he died he cast a spell trapping him in another dimension. But the spell was linked to magical ritual which would give zarth the power to break free. So word spread any child born with purple eyes, the idealist mark of power, should be banished. I was born with those eyes. they said I was genetically inferior and sentenced me to death far arm way from my home. But Aquaman's dad Atlan rescued me and that's how I became Aquaman's sidekick.

SPEEDYS POV

Bee was right I didn't know the half about Aqualad. He didn't act sad, but I could tell it haunted him. I hugged him I didn't care if I got sick. Now it was my turn he need to know he wasn't alone.
