Damon held the door open for me as I walked into his house. This was so dangerous. I hardly knew this man and no body else knew I was here. His house was nice, the floor was wooden and the walls were a silvery colour. All the furniture was modern and neutral coloured with some coloured pillows. It was a really nice house.
I looked over to a wall where there was 3 photo frames hanging on the wall. I slowly made my way over there to have a closer look as Damon set his keys down on the bench. The first one was of Damon and a group of friends. The second was another group photo, but with a serene background of the beach. The third was of Damon and another man, at what looks like a party. He must be the party type of guy - which is the opposite of me.
"That's Mat, my brother. He passed away a few months ago after a car accident." I could hear the pain in his voice as he refereed to the third photo.
My heart sunk and I automatically felt bad. "I'm so sorry." I said as I turned around to face him.
He gave me a small smirk but it quickly fell into a hurt look.
It was painful to see the look plastered on his face. It seemed like he hadn't really talked about everything, but I wasn't going to go into to much detail. Maybe he didn't want to talk about it, and even if he did, I'm sure there was people closer to him that he could talk to.
After a bit of awkward silence, I went and sat on the lounge in the middle of the room making myself comfortable. "I like your apartment." I looked around taking every bit of detail I could.
"I do too." He chuckled as he sat down next to me, leaving some space. "Want to watch a movie?"
"Uh, sure." I smiled.
"I've got horror, comedy, action, cartoons." He paused "and romance." He added with a quick roll of the eyes.
"Anything but horror." I suggested.
A smile crept onto his face. "Horror it is!" He replied as he bounced off of the chair towards the TV cabinet.
I didn't want to seem like a baby, but I hated horror movies. After watching a very toned down horror movie once, I was looking behind every door before I walked into a room. "I'm not good with scary movies!" I tried to plead.
"Don't worry, I'll be here." He smiled, showing his dimple. Was it weird I thought it was cute that he had one dimple? I shook my head trying to shake the thoughts out of my head.

I fluttered my eyelids, adjusting to the bright light seeping into the room through the curtains. I could hear a the sound of a heartbeat thumping as I felt my head slowly rise and fall. I stretched out my legs and rolled around 90 degrees so I could look up. My eyes met with amazing green ones and my stomach flipped and I felt my face turn red.
"You're awake." He smiled as he moved a piece of hair behind my ear. The slight scrape his fingers did across my cheek heated my face up even more.
"When did I fall asleep?" I slightly laughed.
"Not too long ago."
"Sorry." I giggled as I sat up and ran a hand through my hair. I regretted moving instantly, I was cold and I just wanted to go cuddle on his lap again.
I was beginning to think maybe I had a slight crush on Damon, but maybe it was just because I was finally getting attention from someone. Plus, why would someone so good looking and mature go for someone like me?
After a little while of steady conservation I decided it was time to go home before my mum worried about me. Damon offered me a lift, and seeing as I didn't know where I was I accepted.
