(11) Their First #1

*3 months later*

It was the day of Bucky's 17th birthday they had released their first single "The Story Of Us." They were driving home with the country station on loud as they were going home to celebrate their birthdays. Just as they were abou to hit the South Carolina state line they heard their first single on the radio.

Bucky pulled over to the side of the road "Oh my god we are on the radio!!" Kinsley screamed. 

She kissed him and he pulled her on him. "We made it to the radio baby." he said 

"We did." she said 

Then they made their way back on to the road as they heard their song. The DJ came back on and said "That is a new band James + Kinsley "The Story Of Us". 

They both smiled and Bucky kissed her hand and they drove another hour and made it to Charleston. They pulled into his parents driveway and they went running in "Did you hear it mom" Bucky said

"We did you super stars you." Winnie said 

Katelynn helped them make a official Instagram account and Twitter she became their social media person. Brooks came in said "Talk about a birthday present guys. By the way this is what this summer looks like. We have CMA fest and alot of small venues then this fall you two are going on your first tour with Thomas Rhett and Kane Brown as the opening act. " Brooks said as he gave them their upcoming schedule. 

"Thanks Brooks.. you had to pick the two guys she has the biggest crush on." Bucky said 

She gasped "I do not!" she said

"Yeah okay.." he said 

"I can't blame her that Kane Brown is good looking" Linda said 

Kinsley said "You are no help mom. They are older than me and married." as she walked away.

"Baby I was just messing with you." he said as he followed her outside.

He found her in the clubhouse and sat beside her they both looked around and smiled. He made her look at him and kissed her "I know you love me I was just playing." he whispered 

She smiled at him "I wanna get married." she said 

"Baby I'm suppose to do the proposal." he said 

"I'm not proposing I'm saying I want to get married." she said 

He smiled at her "okay..well I have to make sure my girl gets the biggest sparkler." he said 

She smiled at him "I"m hungry." she said

"Let's go eat." he said 

The next day they had someone meet them at his parents house and had them in front of the old treehouse/clubhouse. Brooks was out there and had them sit on either side of the door frame and got a picture of that then another picture of Kinsley sitting in the door frame with her feet dangling with him in between them. Then Brooks had the lady follow them out to his grandparents farm land and where there was open land they got another shot of them laying opposite of each other with their heads side by side staring directily into each other's eyes. As the lady stood on a ladder to get the perfect shot. 

A few weeks later Brooks called them as they were setting up their own apartment and said that "The Story of Us" hit number one and had been put on a Nicholas Sparks movie soundtrack which helped it pick up steam. 

Bucky picked her up and kissed her after he hung up the phone. "Take me to bed baby." she whispered in between kisses. "Oh I plan on it." he said as he carried her into the bedroom.
