It was the day of Kinsley and Kayson's 16th birthday two days before Bucky's. They were practicing in her garage when Josh's mom pulled in. He walked up and Kinsley said "Hey.."
"Um this is suppose to be a private rehearsal" Bucky said
"Shut up it is not. And besides you were the one that scheduled an all day practice on my birthday." she said as she moved her guitar and walked over to Josh.
"I have three presents for you but one is a double." he said
"Okay." she said
"Which one do you want first." Josh said as he hid the behind his back.
"Hmm..the right arm." she said
He pulled around her cupcake with a Eiffel Tower cupcake topper this is the double present cause this is here where me and my parents are taking you in June." he said
She gasped "Oh my gosh Josh!" she said as she jumped up and down.
"And here is your other present." he said
He pulled around a teacup yorkie in a bowl. "Joshua Allen.. oh my god where did you find her?!" she said

Joe and LInda heard all the commotion and then remembered what Josh asked them. "She's adorable Josh thank you." she said as she licked Kinsley's face.
She giggled and said "Oh I love you too princess."
Josh got her cage and food and set it all up for her in her room and she put her new puppy in the cage.She walked with him to his car "did you tell him yet?' he said in her ear as he hugged her.
"Not yet but I will when are alone." she said
"Okay I love you baby happy birthday." He said
"Thank you Josh." she said
She walked back over to the garage Bucky gave her a dirty look "What now? It's my birthday James or did you forget that it was my birthday I didn't want to spend here all day I wanted to spend it with him but you had to be an ass didn't you." she said as she put her guitar down.
"Kinsley wait.." he said as he ran after her.
He found out in her backyard "Kinsley I didn't realize when I said two Saturdays from now.." he said
"Just for the record he doesn't want us to sing the duets to each other anymore." she said
"Excuse me.." he said
"Buck please he's my boyfriend and I don't want to make him uncomfortable that I'm sitting there singing to you about being in love." she said
"Fine you know here you re do the whole damn thing then." he said as he shoves the set list and make sure lover boy approves it and walks off "You can call him back and have him pick you up cause rehearsal is over." he said as he slams the gate behind him.
Kinsley started to cry as she dropped the paper and dropped to her knees. Bucky has never been so hateful to her then he has since she started to date Josh. She gave the list to Winnie and said "Here tell him that I'm sorry." she said and started to walk away.
"Kinsley honey what's wrong." Wnnie siad
"What did I do Winnie? Why is he so hell bent on being so rude and hateful to me? All I did was get a boyfriend and suddenly I'm this horrible person to him." she said as she walked out.
James looked at Winnie and took the paper and saw that it was their song list. James went down to Bucky's room. "Buchahan you down here." he said
But then he heard his guitar and Bucky singing.
"I remember the night I almost kissed her I kinda freaked out we had been friends forever. And I always wondered if she felt the same way. When I go the invite I knew it was to late and I know her daddy has been dreading this day. But he ain't the only one giving her away . "
James opened the door and saw Bucky wiping tears "Hey dad." he said
"Son.. why are you being mean to Kinsley? " he said
"Because I lost my chance to tell her how I felt. And now it's to late dad that boy is whisking her off to Paris this summer bought that beautiful promise ring and now he's told Kinsley that he does't feel comfortable when we sing our duets to each other. I'm losing my best friend the only girl I have ever wanted." he said
James sat down beside "Son you do know that she's only 16 that boy isn't going to stick around forever. He's only promising her things so he can't earn himself some brownie pts to get in her pants." James said
Bucky looked down.
"Just give it time Josh will start to show his true colors soon as he gets what he wants from Kinsley. I just hope that you haven't done enough damage that she won't come to you when he does." James said
Bucky looked at his dad "Son she's gonna need a friend when he gets what he wants and tosses her to the side. I know boys like him he's laying it on thick the puppy the ring the trip to paris." James said
"Oh.." he said
"Yeah..by the way loved the song." he said then he walked out leaving the paper on the bed.
Bucky saw tear stains and he looked down those weren't there before. "Sorry Kinsley" he whispered.
