(16) We Have Everything We Wanted

*5 Years Later*

Bucky and Kinsley were now 24 years old and on a world tour with their 7th studio album. They had a slew of Grammys they bought house a Nashville and still so in love with each other. They were one of Country's Hottest Couples and both always make the sexiest lists. It was the life they always wanted for themselves that they dreamed about. 

One night while they were in Sydney Becca called them. Bucky was laying side ways on the bed as Kinsley painted her toes "Hey Becca' they both said

"Hey..um I'm not sure if your new manager got ahold of you or not but um Mom had a heart attack last night. Um it's bad James..she's not woken up yet and they don't know if she will or not." Becca said 

"Becca I love you but mom hasn't spoken to me in 5 years. And I know I shouldn't hold that against her at a time like this." he said 

"I know but dad told me to call anyways." she said 

"Yeah but thanks for the call." he said as he hung up. 

He started kissing her "Mmm James my toes.." she squealed as he chuckled. "Nobody sees them but me." he said as he took the polish and laid on the nightstand and they had sex. Once their tour was over and they made it back home to Nashville they were happy to have a break. 

Bucky and Kinsley took off to the Bahamas for two weeks for some relaxation and didn't tell anyone except for their team so they missed Winnie's funeral. When they got back from their vacation James was waiting at their house.

"Hey dad what are you doing here?" Bucky said

"where have you two been?' James said

"We went to the Bahamas to relax and rest from the tour." he said 

"You missed your mother's funeral James." James said 

"Oh.." Bucky said 

"Yeah you two need to start thinking about what is important to you two. Cause so far it looks like music is more important than family." James said then he left. 

They started to write with their band memebers to work on the next album. That night Kinsley was on the back porch with her guitar as she was singing "See You Again" by Carrie Underwood. 

Bucky was leaning with his shoulder on the back door frame. "When did we resort back to our old days." he said 

She smiled "Just missing Kayson" she said as she put her guitar down and wrapped her arms around him and looked up at him. He kissed her "We have everything we wanted baby but I can tell behind this smile that something's bothering you. Talk to me" he said as they sat down on their porch swing she put her feet in his lap. 

"Buck..I want babies..but that requires us taking time off." she said as she looked down. 

"What is it baby there's more on  your mind?' he said 

"I just I"m scared that I'm gonna lose you." she said 

"Why would think that?' he said 

"Because I want babies I now that we have had this very successful career of our dream..all I want to do is go back to a normal life. But all I hear in my head is those words you said to me in the library that day you convinced me to go to the open mic." she said 

Bucky looked down 

"Buck if I walk away from this life will you go with me or will you start a solo career and leave me." she said 

"Kinsley I .." he said 

She looked down and started to cry "Baby no please don't cry I just this is all I ever wanted was to love you to be with you and have our dream job. I have that I have everything I could want in this life." he said 

She got up and threw her rings at him "Kinsley wait .." he said as he went after her carrying them. "No you don't get to walk away I love you baby but what do you want to do from here. Do you really think we could walk away and be happy with the simple life." he said 

"I want babies James..." she said 

"Then we will have babies but I am not going back to the life we had growing up." he said 

She looked down "Kinsley..what's wrong why are you suddenly like this." he said

"My mom has dementia James..we have lost both grandmothers my brother your brother Brooks now your mom and we missed everything. "she said 

He looked down "And my dad had another stroke three days ago Katie told me. We have been so busy having everything we ever wanted while all of our family is slowly but surely disappearing." she said 

Bucky walked over to her put her rings back on and held her cheeks. "Don't walk away..we can take some time away we can make an announcment that we are going to take some time away." he said 

"You promise." she said

"I promise." he said 

The next day they talked to their team and their publicist helped them make a statement that posted on their twitter Instagram and Facebook. They were able to find a fertility specialist and set up an appointment.
