(2) The Almost Kiss

-10 years later-

Bucky and Kinsley were now 14 years old they were putting together their first set list cause they entered the same contest as their older siblings the only problem was they had all new band members except for two siblings that they were still home besides Kayson. The other ones were filled in by the cousins. 

They were working on it together in the clubhouse where they liked to hold their "Business meetings" as they called it. They had big dreams that they had dreamed up in that fateful clubhouse and those big dreams were to make it big one day even if they had to do it on their own with their band members. 

He was writing the list. "OH no Bucky nobody can read that." she said 

"Hey that's not nice." he said 

"Give me the pencil how can your teachers read your witing. Let me write it I write prettier." she said 

"Hey no it's my pencil." he said 

"So I'm writing the list." she said 

"No I am" he said as he rolled on top of her and kept writing the list out. 

"James Kinsley Supper's ready." Winnie said

"Okay mom the meeting is almost over." he said 

He turned back on not realizing that Kinsley had set up and they bumped noses and foreheads and barely grazed each other's lips. "I um you know what you are right Kinsley here you write it." he said as he hopped out of the clubhouse and let out a breathe. "Oh my god I can't believe that almost happened." he whispered 

She swallowed hard and looked down. "Wow we almost kissed." she whispered then went inside behind him. 

They were both learning how to write songs with Susan so that night Bucky was in his room and started to add another verse to a song he had been working on about his feelings for Kinsley. Kinsley next door was writing about the almost kiss as well. She made it the title of the song the almost kiss. 

They both knew that they would never let those songs see the light of day but it was the one way they could get their feelings out was on paper. The next night they were doing the talent show where they performed Wild At Heart By Gloriana at school.

When they were on stage it was another world for them they would mess with each other and sing to each other when they did duets. They would always have fun with it cause that's how they seen bands do it. They won first place just like they always do when they are in the show.
