Late

I woke up in Kevin's arms. I looked at the clock and it was 11:00.
"Kevin, it's 11:00" I said groggily not really processing the information.
"huh" he said still half asleep.
"What time does your school start? Your late!..  I'm late!" I said frantically.
"Oh, haha. I'm not going to school today. No way" he said nonchalantly.
"You're skipping?" I was slightly confused as Kevin doesn't seem like he would.
"Yeah... aren't you?" he asked just as confused.
"No, I've never skipped" I said while changing from Kevin's pants to mine.
"I already missed first and second period, and I'll miss third by the time I get there". I was sad about having to change out of his clothes.
"I'll drive you don't worry" he paused "or you can skip with me?" I could hear the hope in his voice.
"my grades will drop if I do". He tried to make sense of the situation
"Oh ok".I shrugged as I pulled my shirt over my head,
"well, I'm ready when you are". He sat up fully and walked over towards the door.

"Ok, but are you sure you don't want to get boba or something?" I finally snapped out of annoyance "Don't pressure me, ok!". He frowned slightly, hurt by what I said.
"Ok I'm sorry, really. I'll go get the car started",
He ran down stairs as fast as he could. I grabbed my bag and followed him.
"can we stop by my house I need to get a few things?". He looked up smiling and hopefully forgetting about what I said earlier.
"Yeah yeah, I'm really sorry. I-" I cut him off
"it's fine Kev, I just get grumpy in the morning." I said as he sighed loudly very obviously feeling terrible,
"but it wasn't ok for me to pressure you like that" he replied. I smiled up at him forgivingly
"it's honestly not a problem. I should be the one apologizing because I snapped like that"I said as he sighed in relief.
"Do you want me to get you lunch? I'll get you lunch" he offered, I shook my head no, not wanting him to have to do that.
"It's ok, I promise" I said with a little giggle in my voice. It made me laugh how sweet he was being.
"its this house on the right" I said as he pulled over.
"I'll just be out here!" He said before I laughed and went inside.

"Where the fuck where you last night?" my Mom questioned immediately as I opened the door.
"I was at a friends house now I am going to school" I said, not making a big deal out of anything.
"you are late!" she started to raise her voice and I couldn't handle it at this time
in the morning.
"I know", I rolled my eyes.
"Don't be a smart ass" She yelled at me loudly.
"Ok" I shouted back as I walked upstair.
"I'm not done talking to you!" She was getting louder by the second causing me to run away faster.
"I'm done". She was beyond pissed at this point as though she was going to burst
"your grounded!" She exclaimed.
"Yeah, ok" I shut my door so I couldn't hear her screaming. I changed my clothes quickly put on some makeup and ran downstairs. Quick enough so my mom couldn't yell at me.
"who was that yelling, I could hear it from out here" Kevin said in shock.
"my fucking mother" I rolled my eyes into the back of my skull.
"arph" ... "well are you ready?" he said seemingly surprised by my home life.
"Yup!" I said right as my mother came out and started swearing at me.
"Should I go?" he seemed unsure of what to do.
"Yup" I said in a laughing tone. he reved his engine and I waved at my mother as we sped off.
"Hahaha, she is going to beat me when I get home" I said in a joking tone.
"Fuck, that's not good" he had a change in mood, ". "it's fine, you get used to it after a while".
"Well you can stay over again if you'd like... my parents don't give two shits" it seemed like a genuine offer but I didn't want to seem needy,
"maybe". I said looking at him.
"It's up to you" he said as we pulled up to my school.

"Damn your school is a lot bigger than mine"
I smiled trying to make friendly conversation
"yeah it's actually is hell". He smiled suggestively, "switch schools, then we can carpool to school and walk around in the halls like those super annoying couples" what he said didn't register in my brain, "that's sweet and all bu-... couple?" I said finally coming to my senses.
"I meant like if we did, ya know. I was just saying lik-". I laughed aloud at his state,
"hahahaha, you are so funny when you are nervous"... "I'll see you tomorrow" I reached over and kissed him.
"Bye" we smiled at each other a bit before I got out of the car.

My best friend Lexie saw us apparently.
"WHO WAS THAT??" I didn't want her to know about me and Kevin
"nobody..." I said as she rolled her eyes hard,
"fuck off. Tell me" I sighed aloud,
"this guy I met online." She gasped
"what's the mans name?" I laugh at her exaggeration
  "Kevin". She laughed hard at the mention of his name
"what the fuck kind of name is Kevin?" I paused and waited for her to go on.
"Did you fuck?!" she realized that I must have slept at his house and put two and two together.
"No Lexie, still a virgin" I said dejectedly
"your in a MOOD" she said honestly.
"Yeah sorry it's just my Mom" I sighed.
"she being a bitch again?" She asked as she slung her arm over my shoulder.
"Yeah, I stayed the night at Kevin's and she freaked out". Her eyes lit up at that
"So you did fuck him! Lier!"she insisted
"I swear we didn't, if we did I'd tell you" I explained, she sighed heavily,
"boring!...Why are you late? It's lunch" She said puzzled,
"we woke up to late." She started freaking out at that and yelling
"IF YOU WEREN'T FUCKING THEN WHAT WHERE YOU DOING SO LATE?" People were starting to stare at both me and her,
"keep your voice down. Literally not fucking." I whispered.

She calmed down at that and started to ask more questions
"uhh boring!"... "what school does he go to?"she asked. I shrugged causally,
"I actually don't know. He lives by Sunfield though." I said as she gave me a look of unsatisfactory that I didn't know all the tea on him.
"lame! So he is a senior then? You better not be dating a 16 year old again."she looked at me desperately pleading that I wasn't in fact doing so. "No I'm pretty sure he is 18. I don't know for sure though"I said.
"he could be a fucking freshman for all you know!" She shouted back. I looked at her like she was stupid,
"with a car?" I responded. She looked at me with wide eyes
"you never know! What's his last name I'll look him up". I was reluctant to actually tell her his last name. "Perry..." I whispered, knowing what she will find. "Huh, I didn't hear you!",
"Perry, I said. Kevin Perry" I said with a voice of defeat. "Ok I gotta go put my stuff in my locker" I quickly walked to my locker so I wouldn't be around for her freak out" she gasped
"FUCK OFF!!! YOU ARE FUCKING WITH ME!". The hall monitor turned around at that exact moment
"Lexie keep it down!" Lexie screamed again, not caring about the monitor,
"WHERE ARE YOU YOU SON OF A BITCH!? THIS MAN IS FAMOUS BABY! YOU ARE LYING TO ME!!!"I turned around solemnly and giving up about trying to hide Kevin
"keep your voice down! I don't want the whole world to know." She looked at me interestedly
"so this isn't a joke?!" She asked.
   "nope!" I showed her our texts. She had a proud look in her eyes
"Honey you really hit the jackpot! How did you even do it?"she asked. I shrugged,
"I don't know honestly, he did all the work really". She looked at me with that mother knows best type look and tried to give me advice
"you have to fuck him! fuck I gotta meet him". I shot the idea down without any hesitation
"no", she acted hurt by the fact,
"why not?? God"she insisted. I laughed aloud,
"it's a obvious no" she begged me with puppy dog eyes
"please????" I laughed again,
"no... maybe. Most likely no" she groaned in annoyance and sadness.

*bell rings*
"time to go" I said, happy the conversation was over about my mystery man.
"Wait no" she said, chasing the conversation. "
"Bye..." I left quickly to get out of the conversation before she changed my mind.
