Thor came back two days later to celebrate with us. The Avengers reunited.
" What should we do to celebrate our victory?" Clint asks in a dramatic impersonation of the Asgardian voice as he calls it. Me and Tony gasp and squeal happily.
"Shawarma!"
That's where we are now , The Avengers sitting around a table, eating, stuffing our faces. They are silent, no one makes a peep. Clint leans back in his chair , waiting for conversation. Steve has his head in his hand as he puts food in his mouth. Tony looks disappointed with the taste whilst Nat eats not noticing the others discomfort. Bruce stares down at his food whilst the only one who doesn't look unhappy with the food is Thor who stuffs it in his face.
I pick and rolls the last few chips on my plate. Workers are cleaning up the destroyed place. The place is dead silent. Whilst we were having a silenced "fun" , we didn't know of the dangers lurking in space at that moment.
The Other kneels at the feet of another alien.
"The humans and the gods... they are not the cowering wretches we were promised. They stand. They are unruly and therefore cannot be ruled!" The other whispers in a harsh tone a looming figure in a chair stands.
The Other bows immediately. "To challenge them, is to court... Death."
The figure turns and smiles menacingly, revealing himself to be the mad titan himself ...... Thanos....
