I begin to feel overwhelmed by all the shouting and arguing . I felt like I was being suffocated for some reason . I looked over at the sceptre , but that made me feel worse . I stumbled over next to Steve who was still arguing with Tony .
" Steve .." I croaked out but he couldn't hear me . I needed to get out ouf here before I exploded.
" You speak of control , yet you court chaos ," Thor booms at Banner . Natasha and Fury have stopped arguing with them and are now looking at the arguments breaking out .
"It's his M.O., isn't it? I mean, what are we, a team? No, no, no. We're a chemical mixture that makes chaos. We're... we're a time-bomb," Banner sparks although Thor looked completely baffled but what he just said.
"You need to step away ," Fury tries to console Banner then notices me .
Tony puts his arm around Steve ," why shouldn't the guy let off a little steam ?" he questions , mockingly .
Steve shrugs Tony off ," You know damn well why now back off !"
Tony comes face to face with Steve ," Oh I'm starting to want you to make me ,"he spits a little bit , furthering Steve's anger.
" Big man in a suit of armour . Take that off and what are you ?" Steve questions , smiling a little .
" Genius , Billionaire, playboy , philanthropist," Tony replies , grinning and counting his titles on his fingers for extra effect.
" I know guys like that worth ten of you . I know , I've seen footage ," Steve argues back , glaring into Tony's eyes.
"Stop ," I plead them but once again they don't listen
" The only thing you really fight for is yourself. You're not the guy to make the sacrifice play, to lay down on a wire and let the other guy crawl over you," Steve continues and pokes Tony . Tony wipes off the finger mark ,"I'll just cut the wire ," he says smartly.
Steve smiles ," Always a way out... You know, you may not be a threat, but you better stop pretending to be a hero."
"STEVE ROGERS !" I shout and everyone looks at me . I notice my hair on fire , I put it out quickly ,"Enough ," I hiss placing my hands between them . I was so angry with Steve ... I didn't care whatever Tony said to him now...
Tony looks distraught about what Steve said but being a Stark he has a comeback ," A hero? Like you? You're a lab rat, Rogers. Everything special about you came out of a bottle!"
For some reason, apart of me knew that wasn't true , but the other sides with Tony. Do I ... Did the 70 years away from Steve develop something for ...No ...
" Put the suit on then , lets go a few rounds ," Steve challenges .
"Not helping , Steve ," I say , annoyed. Thor apologises to Banner and he apologises back .
Suddenly my vision goes a bit hazy and Barton comes into view , he shoots a bomb arrow at SHEILD helicarrier , aiming for the engines. My vision comes back to me quickly . What just happened ? I thought . Then I remember ... the Hydra pill that Red skull gave me back in the 40s . They have special powers in them . Mine was a type of telekinesis, seeing things that are happening at present. However , I don't think that the Barton thing actually happened.
Thor laughs , manically ," You people are so petty ... and tiny," he laughs again.
" Yeah this is a team ," Banner sighs .
" Agent Romanoff , Do you mind escorting Dr Banner back to his room ?" Fury asks and Nat walks over to Banner.
" Where ? You rented my room !" Banner shouts at Fury . Natasha stops in her tracks .
" The cell was just in case .."
" You needed to kill me , or Cali , but you can't , not me , I know , I've tried !" Banner shouts , tears stinging at his eyes . Tony and Steve stop arguing and I walk away from them listening to Banner. Steve looks shocked with Banner's statement, me and Tony look at each other stunned.
" I got low. I didn't see an end, so I put a bullet in my mouth and the other guy spit it out! So I moved on. I focused on helping other people. I was good, until you dragged me back into this freak show and put everyone here at risk!" Banner continues , a tear now running down his face . He looks at Nat in apology .
" You're not the only one , Dr Banner ," I say my heart racing and my body heating up again.
"You wanna know my secret, Agent Romanoff? Cali ? You wanna know how I stay calm?" Banner confronts us however we are all alarmed . Fury and Nat have their hands on their guns and I have my sword in hand .
"Dr banner , please put down the sceptre ," I instruct and he looks down , curious on how the sceptre ended up in his hands .
The computer beeps out of nowhere. We all turn to it and I pull my sword back , rushing over to the monitor .
"Sorry kids . You don't get to see my party trick after all ," banner says mockingly .
I smile brightly at the monitor ," Got it !" But then my expression changes to confusion .
" Located the Tesseract ?" Thor asks ready to retrieve it .
"I can get there first !" Tony announces , challenging Thor.
" Look all of us .." Steve starts walking to Tony.
" The Tesseract belongs on Asgard, no human is a match for it ," Thor explains and I agree with it . Tony takes it as a challenge and begins to leave . Steve stops him.
"you're not going alone ! You heard what Thor said ," Steve commands Tony , pushing him back .
"You gonna stop me, spangles ?" Tony teases .
"Put on the suit , we'll find out ."
" Oh but I'm afraid to hit an old man ," Tony teases again .
"Technically I'm only 23 and don't age ," Steve says .
My face turns to horror ," oh my god !" I gasp .
" What is it ?" Banner asks , alarmed .
"The Tesseract , Barton's got it but ... it says the energy is here ..." i explain , knowing what's going to happen.
Everyone looks alarmed . That's when I notice the explosion heading our way .
" Everyone get down !" I scream , tackling Tony down to the floor . We're all thrown in every direction . Natasha and Banner are thrown into the lower floor that are stored with equipment . Thor and Fury are on the other side .
" Put on the suit !" I shout at Tony as we run out of the room .
" yep ! " he replies as me , him and Steve charge down the corridor .
Emergency alarms are set off . Fire extinguishers are put in motion. People run up and down the corridor in alarm and panic . Let's just say that chaos has erupted on board SHIELD helicarrier.
