Illumi X Hisoka x reader

I hugged Silva while his large arms squeezed me tightly. Lightly tapping him to losen his grip so I can breath. He smile proudly and sat down watching illumi sit at my side .

"Business is well. I see you two have kept yourself busy." He boasted

I nodded as illumi started the meeting "have we been contacted regarding the auction ?"

Straight to business. Good. Call me jealous but sitting beside him is the last thing I wanted. Especially this early in the morning. I quietly sat and sipped my coffee.

"Actually. We have. You two were both hired by chrollo.. the head of the phantom troupe."

Almost choking on my coffee  I coughed loudly gasping for air "for what?" To my surprise Hisoka had mentioned hiring me for gathering intel on this man but the coincidence!!

"Are you alright?" Illumi asked. I rolled my eyes at his fake ass concern .

"Ok fine. I was caught off guard is all. Hisoka has mentioned about hiring me to gather secret information about chrollo." I replied looking at Silva. His proud face was no longer there but replaced with seriousness.

"What did you tell him?" He asked

"I declined of course. Success wasn't guaranteed.  Not against chrollo."

He nodded in approval "chrollo is someone you two don't want to take lightly.  Never gave him as enemy alone without us being there."

"Agreed" I said

"Luckily he'll be your client. I was hired by the don to kill chrollo.. illumi.. you were hired to kill the dons. Y/n .. your hired to assist him during this encounter... kill anyone who approaches him .."

"I won't face you." I said quickly

" good . Your to meet him tonight .."

"Absolutely not." Illumi interrupted. " the auction isn't for some time now. Why would he need to meet with her so suddenly "

"I understand your concern but this is our job. She is to help with the planning. He's payed her extra for the extra time."

"I accept the job." I blurted. Mainly to piss off illumi but I knew I had no choice.

"You do?" Illumi facing me

"Yes. This is my job. It's no different than any others"

"Good.. and Killua?" Silva asked

"Crushing the competition. He tries to make it fair to underestimate the enemy it seems. Then he ends the match when they think they've won"

Silva smiled "he has the heart of a Zoldyck."

"Yes he does." I encouraged

"I have to get going. I'll send you the meeting place for chrollo." Silva said standing up. Leaving illumi and I alone and me internally screaming.

"You have nerve to but into my job like that" hissed. "Don't you ever in your life interfere with my work illumi."

"Your safety is important to me." He said plainly

"My safety is my own to worry about. Honestly illumi you've never doubted me and my capability before. I won't let you start undermining me."

"That's not my intention. I genuinely care for your safety. Chrollo is a dangerous man"

"And I'm an assassin. Are you saying you don't trust the same training you went through? Seeing as I stood beside you during those sessions. Bleeding with you? Screaming as the torture Carried on for days ? Your comment was insulting to both me and Silva . He trained us well and I learned the same way you did. I wouldn't be here if I couldn't handle this."

"Your right." He sighed.

He only agreed to shut me up. "I've been meaning to talk to you since last night" he continued.

"About?"

"About what I said."

I rubbed my face clearly not wanting to get into it "really illumi can we not!"

"Listen " he demanded. "Machi was under the impression that you didn't mean much to me"

"No shit? It only took another woman to tell you?"

"It made me realize that, I may not have been clear with her or you."

"No you were loud and clear.." I continued my smart comments because he didn't need to keep telling me I'm no one .

" the truth is .. I have what some would say to be strong feelings for you. And had since we were smaller."

Hold up ! This was not what I thought he was going to say. 

He reached out and held my hand. " I need us to be on the same page about where you stand in my life. And I believe im supposed to do this by holding your hand to help trigger an emotional response from you so you would know I'm serious."

"Your so bad at this your making zero sense." I said.

"You're above any woman I've encountered and ever will. Your my fiancé. And the only friend I've had.  I need you to understand that your important to me. "

"You said what you said. Now can I go?" Pulling my hand away from him, I didn't want to react anyway to what he said because I didn't want him to see that his words are effecting me . Truth is I'm unsure if he's truly sincere. Illumi is emotionless and shows love in a sadistic way.

" should anything happen. Send me a text .. I'll be there immediately and we will slaughter the entire troupe together"

"How romantic" I mocked.

He smiled amused by my sarcasm. It seemed like he enjoyed my bratty ways .

He pulled me into his arms and lifted my chin . He looked me in the eye as if he was searching for some kind of answer but shortly leaned in and pressed his lips against mine. Giving into the softness of his lips my traitorous mouth moved along with his.

After breaking the small kiss he pecked my forehead and stood up reaching his hand out for me to grab to help get up from my seat. 

"Why are you being so nice now" I questioned with one eyebrow raised.

"Because your no ordinary woman. Your going to be my wife."

I grabbed his hand knowing that despite our differences, I knew if I needed him he'd show up in an instant. He was trained to. Wether he was acting this whole thing or not. He meant what he said about slaughtering the entire troupe. Or maybe it's because I'm more afraid what may lie ahead. I don't know chrollo. I've never seen him or worked with him before. But knowing who he is. I was nervous. And I need to prepare for the worst Incase it comes. And illumi is the one who will come if my life was in danger.

So chrollo , who ever you are. I'll be waiting tonight.
