Annoyed with both Hisoka and illumi's nonsense I threw in my headphones and allowed myself to lose n up and just let the music move me. With my eyes closed I played close attention to the instruments in the background, moving my body accordingly as I mumbled the lyrics.

Unaware that my room was intruded by another unsuspecting guest.

Is it odd that I wished it was chrollo?

Unfortunately it was none other than

"Machi" I said rolling my eyes. Removing my headphones from my ears I crossed my arms and had a momentary stare down with her until she finally opened her mouth.

"Tell me y/n... what's the real reason why your here ?" I raised an eyebrow at her ridiculous question....

The fact that she believes it would be anything other than money is extremely laughable. "To get paid." I said bluntly.

"Are you sure your not here just because you know illumi and I had been seeing each other ?" Her tone hinted that she believed I only took the job to keep an eye on her. As if I'm threatened by her relations with illumi.

I laughed loudly until I needed to force myself to stop just to catch my breath. "Oh my" I giggled. "What?! Your ... wait you were being serious ?" Forcing myself not to laugh again "don't flatter yourself machi.. in no way do I feel threatened by you sleeping with illumi. I know where I stand and I'm absolutely confident that if I were threatened... you would be cut off immediately... literally. I would make him do it with his own bare hands while I watch and we'd go eat after."

"Your assuming what we have is just casual." He hummed.

Straightening my back I sat down on my bed and imagined her head flying right off her shoulders.

"He told me personally he doesn't want to marry you."

I won't lie to myself. That one bothered me a bit but I will not give her the satisfaction. "And your choosing to believe the man who's still engaged even though he has the opportunity to cancel the agreement at any time , allowing me to marry either Silva or his brother when he comes of age ?"

"He said he had no choice."

"I have the documents on that agreement between his parents and mine. I'd be glad to show you . I walked over to my small pile of things and pulled out a copy of then agreement.. it's odd to carry it around but illumi and I need to sign that exact agreement when we decide to go through with the marriage.

I held out the paper to her and watched her skim through.

"Why not just marry his dad or brother than" bingo... she's angry.. I can sense it. Toying with her will be fun.

"Because illumi is the most logical choice. But he would need to agree with it and sign another agreement. I've already suggested it. Recently in fact. Right before coming here and he was against it. He still wants to marry me and is even taking time off work once the auction is done to spend with me. "

I wish she showed facial expressions. I want to see how badly the truth is cutting her right now.

"And hisoka?"

"He's just something to do. You see machi, even if what you and illumi had was something special I still wouldn't care. There's too many men in this world for me to be worried about what you have with just one. Illumi would be replaced in an instant. So, back to the original concern you had... I'm here for the money. Sex was merely just a bonus. Are we done here ?"

"Something is not right about you y/n and I'm gonna find out what."

"I'll make it easier for you. That vibe about me your getting is my crazy sexual desire for your boss. Now get out before I sleep with him too and convince him to kill and replace you. " ..... " and shit The door on your way out please." Defeated she turned and headed for the door.

"Thank you machi! Your a doll."

"Cunt" I sighed as I popped my earphones back in.
