Alpha Chris, made his way to the pack house of the eclipse pack. When he knocked on the door, it was answered by a very tall, thin looking guy.

"Alpha Chris to see Alpha Mark." Chris told the tall man.

The tall guy said, "oh yes. We been expecting you. I am Beta Gerard. Follow me please."

Chris followed the tall beta to the alphas office, where Beta Gerard knocked on the door.

"Come in." They heard from in the room.

The beta opened the door, clearing his throat. "Alpha Chris is here to see you sir."

"Well send him in. Don't jut let him stand out their like a baboon." Alpha Mark said.

The beta opened the door, and let Chris step in, closing the door behind him. Chris took a seat in one of the chairs by Alpha Marks desk, across from him.

Alpha Mark looked up. "We have everything all set up for you and your pack to move across the river. A couple of miles from the bridge, is the town for your pack to stay in. As for terms, we provide protection and support for you and your pack, in turn, you help us in the same way if possible. I have already let my pack know that you and your pack may be visiting frequently, until you van more properly sustain yourselves."

Alpha Chris gave a bow, showing his respect. "I thank you Alpha Mark. I do not believe my pack would have survived without your help."

When Chris looked back up, he noticed a photo on the end of the desk. It show Alpha Mark, a woman who Chris assumed was the Luna, a teenage boy Chris was guessing was their son, but what caught his eyes was the teenage girl. She was smiling, and holding her fingers up in mock bunny ears, behind the boy.

He recognized those full pouty lips, and the dull blue almond shaped eyes. In the picture, her hair was bright pink though.

He asked Alpha Mark, "Who is the girl in the photo?"

Mark looked up from his paperwork. "oh that's my daughter Margaret. She can't shift, we assume she is human somehow."

"Oh. It could be she is just a very late shifter."

Mark narrowed his eyes as Chris. "What would you know about it?"

Chris bowed his head again. "I mean no disrespect. It's just, I think I may have seen her by the river. Only her hair was pitch black. We both suffered a forced shift, and when I shifted back, she looked confused. I asked if it was her first shift, she signaled it was."

"Hmm. Well if this is true, then I'm glad she finally got her wolf. Now maybe everyone well stop teasing her for being....different." Mark replied. "Okay, paperwork is done. I just need you to sign in a few places, and the land is yours."

Chris signed where he needed, and retrieved a map of his new territory.

Margaret and Madeline, were sitting on the riverbank fishing, and talking, when one of the bells on the pole began to ring. Margaret jumped up to reel it in, it was the pole that had a strawberry on it.

While Margaret was reeling in her catch, Madeline said, "I still cant believe you can catch fish on apples and strawberries. Ham I can believe, but fruits?"

Margaret laughed, "yeah I found out by accident really. I was having a picnic by the river, cutting up strawberries, bananas, apples and other fruits, when my brother came out of nowhere and startled me. That little scare caused me to drop all my fruit in the rive. When I looked in, I saw the fish just attacking my fruit. so I been baiting fish with fruit every since."

Madeline laughed at that, while Margaret grabbed the net, to get the fish the rest of the way out of the water.

She dropped the fish in her bucket with the other three, rebaited the hook, casting it out again. Then turned around telling Madeline, "it's a lot less gross then using worms, dried chicken blood, or gut, turtle heads and other stuff they have on the market. Cheaper too."

"I can't argue with that." Madeline giggled. "So what is your wolfs name?"

"She told me her name is Whisper." Margaret said. "What about you?"

"My wolfs name is Cassy, my twins wolfs name is Tilly. Would you like to see?" Madeline asked.

Margaret gave a nod and Madeline went behind a tree to shift. When she came back out, Margaret saw a very pretty brown wolf. Margaret could not help but aww at the beautiful wolf.

She watched as the wolf went back behind the tree, coming out again in human form.

"Your wolf is very pretty." Margaret said.

Madeline just giggle. "maybe, but brown is so common. Your wolf has those unique markings that makes her stand out. not to mention her size."

"Yeah. Just something else to make me different." Margaret sighed, before another bell rang.

"Honestly, your luck with fishing is incredible." Madeline cheered.

As Margaret was reeling in her line, she smelled that oh so wonderful smell of her mate.

As the smell got stronger she kept her eyes on what she was doing.

"Welcome back Alpha Chris." She said, while taking the fish off the hook.

Chris gave her a smirk, "So alphas daughter, having much luck?"

The sound of his voice sent shivers down her spine. She ignored the feeling though, throwing the fish in the bucket.

"Take a look see." She said as she baited the hook again.

Chris looked in the bucket, surprised at the five fish swimming around. "Damn girl, what do you use as bait?" He chuckled.

"Fruit and ham." Madeline spoke up, clapping excitedly.

Both girls laughed.

Margaret turned around, after casting her line out, to see a puzzled look on her mates face. She sat down next to Madeline. Chris sat next to Margaret, and they started talking about everything.

If they was going to be mates, they needed to get to know each other.
