I remember feeling like hell but worse and shit and then I just didn't. I mean, at first I didn't believe it. But after maybe a day or two of pretty much cutting and brooding in my cabin I gave in to what the son of Hades had told me.
Camp had sent me to a school for my Senior Year with Nico and Clarisse.
No, I wasn't the most popular or the most smart kid ever. But I had my friends and I had my bullies. But that was okay. That was life
Graduation Day.
I could barely believe it when I got the letter telling me that I was graduating. What shocked me even more is that since my mom and Bohdi couldn't show up because of Daniel's graduation same day my dad and Tyson showed up.
Now I didn't notice him until the very end when we switch our tassels and throw the hats in the air. But they let me make a speech.
And I liked the one I did.
" There's a universal truth we all have to face." I started not noticing Tyson and my dad in the front row even. " Whether we want to or not. Everything eventually ends. As much as I've looked forward to this day; I've always disliked endings. The last day of summer, the final chapter of a good book, parting ways with a good friend. But endings are inevitable. Leaves fall, we close the book, you say goodbye. Today is one of those days for us. Today we say goodbye to everything that was familiar. Everything that was comfortable. Were moving on. I got my diploma and that was when I saw Tyson and my dad. Tyson was as happy as he could be and so was my dad. And then I saw her.
My twin sister that was taken away at age of ten, Perry.
She was here for a friend. But she heard my name and that got her attention and if we were the same gender we would've been identical twins. Were close. And I knew it was her as soon as I saw her.
That day I got to talk with my dad for longer than five minutes for the first time. I got to hang out with Tyson.
I got my sister back.
So after Clarisse was like teasing me and all I got back at her
" You were supposed to graduate last year." I told Clarisse. " At least I graduated the year I was supposed to."
After she almost tried to kill me we got her to calm down as they both wander away and Perry wanders to me.
" Sorry." She started. " Correct me if I'm wrong please do. But Percy? Percy Jackson? Like my brother Percy?"
I smiled.
" One and only." I said. " Perry."
" How the hell do you recognize me?" Perry asked me. " Almost 10 years."
" No." I said. " You haven't changed that much.How the hell do you recognize me? With all the shit I have going on I look nothing the same."
Now she knew Clarisse and were all playing truth or dare at the party and I'm dared to sing and I agree.
" But." I said. " Perry has to after me."
They didn't know of the sibling thing yet.
Clarisse surprised us.
" Dude, why are you attacking my girlfriend?" Clarisse asked, shocking us all. " Attack your own."
" My ex-girlfriend died like last year Clarisse." I said.
" Well that's a little awkward." There's Leo. Don't ask. He didn't die, either.
I go to sing and after Perry does and after the party I gave her a ride. She told me the address of camp and told me to drop her off there.
So were in the truck and I wasn't really saying anything, and she takes it the wrong way. I just didn't have anything to talk about really at the moment. And she thought I was mad about what Clarisse had said.
" Okay, please Percy." She broke the silence. " Don't be mad."
" Why would I be mad?" I asked. " I haven't seen you in almost 10 years.One of the best things bound to happen in the next 20."
" You know why." Perry told me. " After what Clarisse said at the party you have every right to be mad at me. Everyone is after hearing that."
" I'm not mad, Perry." I told her. " Honest. I have nothing against it. I'm fine with it. The weirdest part for me I think was the fact Clarisse and you are together and I've known Clarisse forever and I never knew she even knew you."
In my opinion that helped her out a lot, relieved her a lot.
" Question." Perry said.
" Huh?" I asked as we got out of the heavy traffic finally.
" When Clarisse told you to attack your own girlfriend." Perry told me. " And you said yours was dead.. What happened? I mean, all together these past years. If they wouldn't have said your name I would've never even considered you to be you."
" Well I can't tell you everything yet." I told Perry. " But as of my girlfriend we broke up around the time of 17th birthday and she was still my friend. Best fried, always was. But not much longer later something broke out killing a lot of people. Not long after we time up she turned out as a whore and a slut so it wasn't the worst thing in the world. It's not like it was a first either."
We talked a lot on the way there and she was gay and I was practically gay. Way over was I bisexual of guys to girls.
When we got there she was claimed almost right away. And like always we bow and bring her through everything and the video to introduce was new. And camp had changed no doubt.
So she was astounded with the whole thing and she asked me how long I've known.
" Going on 8 years." I told her.
" How awesome is it?" she asked me. " Like, with everything."
" Depends." I told her. And somebody knocked on the door. FBI.
" Perseus Jackson?" They asked.
" That is I." I said. " Can I help you, agents?"
" Would you sign these papers?" They ask me and I'm going over it. A war form. Ally sheet. Viet Nam.
" What war are we talking?" I asked the officers.
" World War III has started, Sir." They told me. " The world as far as we know is going to hell."
" This world went to hell a long time ago." I said as I signed my signature.
