Sylvie a young adult around the age of nineteen was just waking up for the day, thanks to the constant beeping that could be heard next to her. Sylvie lazily opened one of her eyes halfway to look at the small clock next to her. After she did she half-heartedly slapped it and the ringing stopped. She remained motionless in bed for nearly a minute before sighing and sitting up stretching and yawning as she did.
Her long bright red hair flowing down her back as she did, a feature most knew her for, as it was a bright almost unnaturally red color, resembling something more akin to cherries or strawberries more than actual hair. This trait seemed to completely contrast her two bright blue eyes. Sylvie off the shirt she was wearing, a shirt several sizes too big for that she wore to sleep, revealing her slender and voluptuous body.
She looked through some of the draws in her dresser and put on a pair of pants that she thought would show off her figure a bit. After she put them on she looked at herself in her dressing mirror and smiled as she walked over to her closet and began to look through the several shirts that she had. She eventually decided on a simple pink blouse and put it on. When she did she once again looked herself over in her dressing mirror and smiled as she began to brush her hair.
Sylvie despite its rather unnatural color was admittedly proud of her hair. Once she had gotten to a point that she liked she smiled and reached for a small bottle of perfume that smelled of vanilla and cotton. Sylvie raised it to just under her face as spray part of her chest and neck with the aroma and smiled as she began to walk away picking up a duffel bag that was next to her bed that she usually used to carry most of her stuff in.
As she walked out of the house she saw her father in the kitchen eating a small meal he had made. "Breakfast?" Her father offered as he looked at Sylvie.
"No thanks, bye dad," Sylvie said with a smile as she waved towards the male and walked out of the building. As she did she could see a familiar figure waiting for her at the end of the block. A male a bit older than her with a slightly muscular frame, blonde hair that he kept combed back, and bright green eyes. A male she knew well, someone she had been best friend's with since childhood, Jason.
He didn't seem to notice her at first, leaning against a small wall that was beside the sidewalk. He was looking at his phone intently as he waited for her to arrive. However, as she started walking towards him he began to hear her slowly approaching and looked up from his phone and smiled before putting it away. "It's about time you got here, slowpoke," Jason said as he looked at the female in front of him.
"Sorry, we can't all be as fast as you," Sylvie said as she watched the male push himself off the building he was leaning against and began to stare at her.
"You know you say that, but aren't you like the captain of the Tennis team or some shit? Don't you have to be fast to get that position?" Jason asked as they began to walk down the sidewalk.
"No, you don't have to be fast," Sylvie said with a sigh as she turned to look at the male next to her. She liked the male, but at times it was a bit difficult to talk to him because of how dense he was.
"Why does Tennis even need a captain? After all, it's a one v one sport. It's not like there are fifty people on each side of the court," Jason asked as he looked at the female in front of him.
"Oh, I'm sorry, how many people from your team are on the track during one of your races?" Sylvie asked returning the question as she looked at the male next to him.
"Touché," Jason said as he looked at the female acknowledging his slight defeat. "Anyway, onto some gossip that I heard about you yesterday. Rumor has it you have a crush on the new guy," Jason said as he looked at the female next to him with a smirk.
