Sylvie gasped as she shot up for her bed. She seemed panicked upon remembering what had happened last night. She quickly looked around and relaxed seeing that she had somehow made it to her room. This confused Sylvie slightly before she let out a sigh and reached up to cover half of her face. "It was just a dream," Sylvie said trying to convince herself that there was no way something like that could be real.
Sylvie then stood up and walked to her dresser pulling out a pair of pants for the day and walked over to her closet to find a shirt she thought would go well with it. She decided on a simple purple blouse, however, she froze when she saw herself in the mirror. She dropped the clothes she was carrying and began to shake in fear.
She looked completely different, her bright red hair was now a dark ashy gray, her eyes were now a dark ruby red, she had two horns on her head that came out from the back and wrapped around slightly to the front of her head. She had two small wings on her back, nearly a foot and a half in length and they appeared to resemble bat wings, and a black stereotypical demon tail, even her skin had changed now becoming an unnatural mix between gray and blue.
Sylvie walked over to the mirror and looked at herself touching her face to inspect herself before moving back and screaming as loud as she could. This couldn't be happening! Seeing herself in this condition Sylvie moved back against the wall behind her and began to slide down it tears starting to stream down her face as she did. Why was something like this happening to her? Why now, when her life was finally about to change for the better?
She then heard a few panicked footsteps and moments later her parents burst into the room clearly on high alert. When they did Sylvie began to cover herself curling into a ball in a futile attempt to hide. "No! Don't look at me!" Sylvie said as she tried to hide from view tears streaming down her face as she did. She couldn't let her parents see her in this condition. They had taken care of her their entire life, she didn't think it was fair for them to see what kind of monster their daughter had become.
She heard them sigh a bit relieved and her father moved forward and wrapped her in a hug. Sylvie tensed up feeling this and bit her lip as a few more tears threatened to fall down her face. "It's all right, I know things look bad, but trust me everything's going to be fine," Her father whispered in a clear attempt to try and calm her down. However, his soothing words and calm voice did help and Sylvie turned to look at him.
"R-really?" Sylvie asked as she looked at him and he nodded with a kind smile before wiping away the tears in his daughter's eyes. He then stood up and walked back slightly, when he did a red almost blood-like mist engulfed him for a moment, and his form completely changed as well. His bright red hair, that Sylvie had assumed she had inherited from him was now a deep black, and his eyes were a pale yellow, with two golden horns that stood straight up, deep red skin, and two massive wings that were folded on his back, as well a tail similar to hers.
Her mother's form then also began to change but at a much slower rate. Her platinum blonde hair becoming a pure white, almost silvery color, and her eyes being the same deep ruby red that her daughters were. Sylvie couldn't believe what she was seeing, her parents were like this? She had known them for years, and yet she had no idea. "We know this is a lot to take in," Her father said as the same bloody mist covered him and disperse revealing his human for that Sylvie knew and loved.
"We'll be downstairs when you're ready," Her mother said as she walked out of the room, her father following behind shortly after. Sylvie sighed as she looked at herself in the mirror. How was she supposed to put on her shirt with her wings, or put on her pants with her tail? She sighed seeing this and tried to move her wings. It was a bit difficult due to the fact she had never had to move the extra appendages before however, she did find the task rather easy after a few attempts.
