Moving To Another Country

Yessss you guessed it! I decided to move to America just to be with this amazing woman. There was a lot to get done, I had to travel back to Trinidad to sell my cars and one of my houses. I stopped by the office to say good bye to my business partners and off I went on my return back to Kia. I wanted to throw a big house warming party with all her friends and family, which I was excited about planning. I was also terrified to meet everyone at once, but I was ready. The day was finally here I spent the day cooking different meals, I didn't know what everyone would like so I made everything I could think of. I decorated the house, Kia got drinks and took care of the music. I got dressed, then guess started to arrive. Everyone wanting to meet Kia's Caribbean girlfriend. I laughed in my head thinking the only reason they want to meet me is because Kia bragged so much about me and ofcourse my accent. I've survived the first part of the get together, let's see how the rest of the night plays off. We all sat down to eat, I'm nervous wondering if they would like my cooking. Turns out they did! As the night pressed on, getting to know everyone was a little difficult. No one really was understanding what I was saying. All night Kia had to translate everything I saying, which was funny to see her weaving in and out of different conversations. She was like my own personal dictionary. I felt so good knowing that this woman loved me so much and so desperately wanted her people to get to know me. She was willing to stand by me and explain my every word to them. Something happened next that not only shocked all the guest but rocked my entire world. I was frozen solid once again there she was on one knee looking up at me asking me to be her partner for life. For the first time in my life I was speechless, crying standing there. Words couldn't escape my lips and then I let out the biggest yes ever yes a thousand times HELL YESSS ....
