"I wish mom were here"

Oh.

It's been really long since I ever thought of him. I haven't even spoken about Tweety to Aino.

I remained silent and watched Aino munching on his griddle cakes.

"Hey dad?"

I flinched.

"Yes son?" I replied.

"I know it's not the right time to ask you this, but what really happened to my mom?" Aino asked.

I seriously couldn't think of anything to avoid the topic. But of course he has the right to know about his mom, I can't just rub it off of his mind. I don't know if it's going to be right to tell him that his mom committed suicide because I left her for another girl.

"Son, she— she had an a-accident," I lied.

"Are you sure, dad?"

Son, how can I tell you the truth. You're still too young to know such things. I can't describe all these complex feelings to you.

"What happened dad? Won't you tell me?" Aino asked.

I sighed.

"I will, son. I will," I said, "Look son, you're still very young to know a lot of things, there's still the whole world that you're left with to explore and to know about. Once you grow up, I'll tell you every single bit of my story, everything."

Aino looked at be with a bare expression. I think he's a bot disappointed. But I don't have an option either. If I tell him everything, he's surely gonna think about it too much and will be upset. I don't want to spoil his childhood. He's having fun, let him. When he'll have the abilities to control his feelings and emotions, then only I will tell him, cuz he'll be matured enough to understand. But I also know that he'll not have the same impression on me that he has now. He'll have a negative attitude towards me if he gets to know that all that happened in his life was because of me. That's why I want him to learn to take his own decision. I will not always be there, but he shall not feel weak at times.

There was a awkward moment going on between son and father, without a conversation.

"Hey Aino! Come out!" One of Aino's friends called out from outside the window.

"Wait, I'm coming," Aino said as he grinned.

His friends surely keep him happy all the time.

Aino wiped his beak and flew outside. I stood beside the dining table watching the children outside.

"Hey bro, haph births," a friend wished Aino. They both had a bro-fist and then all of then had a group hug.

"Bro, I've got a surprise," Aino's friend said as he asked him to wait.

The group waited for the drama to begin.

All of a sudden a group of girls burst out screaming out of a bushy tree. I thought they were screaming, but actually that was THEIR kind of song. They were performing a weird, but a funny salsa dance by making pairs.

LOL. These kids are really playful. I hope they stay happy like this all the time.
