Nova POV

It immediately launched an array of attacks at me, sending out thorns and bullet like pellets. My reflexes kicked in, but they weren't quick enough as a thorn scraped my leg and a pellet nearly shot through my arm. It let out a horrifying laugh that pierced my ears, that bitch was taunting me. Of course, being the shadow I was, I could do what ever I damn well pleased, which resulted in discarding the form everyone knew as "Nova." To hell with fighting normally.

To hell with looking normal. I am Noverin Atokai and I'm sick of playing nice with this thing.

I felt my legs beginning to melt together, my left arm becoming more monstrous. As for my right arm, it became more malformed, it lost any shape and was now more.... Gelatinous in a way. Put of the corner of my eye, I saw Faira was re entering the cave, to which she became surprised upon seeing me. She got over her stupor and took an offensive stance.

Her eyes never left me though, I could tell she was suspicious. "Don't bother asking, you know it's me."  Faira cast me one last suspicious glance before turning her full attention to the fight at hand. The monster launched another barrage of attacks at us, causing us to leap out of the way. After a few more rounds of this, I realized that this thing wasn't going to let us attack it back.

Faira noticed this and finally started attacking. When none of her attacks were working on the main body, she aimed for the head. That was probably the moment where I went flying into a wall, despite being a phantom. Okay, well, we found the weakness, now we actually have to hit it. I aimed as accurately as I could and shot my best at the head.

It certainly did something as it finally stopped attacking. As a matter of fact, it shrank down to a normal.... Flower? Faira and I had walked back in front of it, noting that it looked a little TOO innocent. I shifted back to my normal form, wincing at the pain that jolted through me.

She flashed me a quick look of concern before refocusing on the now small flower. "Who are you?" Yes, I used the most cliche question ever, deal with it. "Why I'm Flowey! Flowey the Flower!"

"Okay.... That's.... Interesting, but I wanna know why the hell you decided to boot me out of my own house!" Flowey's eyes seemed a little crazier after that and he let out a laugh. "Why, I was simply looking to have some F u N !"

I noticed that Faira had retensed and was now signing to Flowey. 'Your definition of fun is twisted.' Flowey sorta blanked, not knowing her sign language, so I translated. "She said your definition of fun is twisted." He let out a little "oh" then looked at her strangely.

"You CAN talk, right?" Faira gave him a suspicious look, then hesitantly nodded. Flowey got a crazed look on his face again. "ThEn LeT's HeAr YoU  S C R E A M !" Without sparing a single second, a thorn covered root was pinning Faira's arms to her sides, lifting her up into the air.

From the ground I could see her wince as the thorns dug in. After a minute, I finally started to actually be useful and started unleashing an onslaught of attacks on the root, taking notice of the blood beginning to drip down from Faira's arms, I realised I had to hurry. Ignoring my growing exhaustion, I attacked again, using my stronger attacks. At this point a second root had sprung up and was starting to swipe at me. I was already tired from attacking and having to constantly dodge wasn't helping.

That's when I heard one thing that fueled my adrenaline. Faira had only let a yelp, but it was enough motivation to make my blood boil. I felt myself shifting into my phantom form again, now more enraged than ever as my hair ignited into a blue fire, which pushed me to start making the largest fireball ever. Without any hesitation I threw the fireball at Flowey yelling a single word at the top of my lungs. "DIE!"

Flowey immediately caught fire, the root holding Faira burning up, effectively releasing her. Her eyes held an exhausted look and the wounds on her arms seemed decently sized and deep. Feeling dizzy, I floated over to a pillar, heavily leaning on it as I shifted back, completely drained. Panting a bit, I limped back over to Faira placing a hand on her shoulder. "Let's go back."

Surprisingly, she shook her head, but as she was too tired to sign, she spoke in a low voice. "No, we're both injured." I hadn't heard her speak, so naturally I was VERY shocked at this. Shaking my head, I led her to a little table and told her to sit. She obeyed, clearly drained.

"Let me see your arms." She didn't seem gazed at this and held her arms out. I thoroughly inspected her arms, grabbed the nearby bandages and started wrapping the injuries. When Faira gave me a questioning look, it took me a minute to understand what she could possibly be confused about. It dawned on me a moment later.

"I WOULD put the disinfectant on if I had any. I plan to go out and get some later, but for now we should rest." Once again, she nodded in understanding. I then led her to the guest room, which wasn't much actually. It was just a bed with a worn down mattress, pillow and blanket.

Clearly, Faira could care less because she walked over to that bed and fell asleep on the spot. "I knew you were tired, but this is ridiculous." I muttered under my breath, making my way over to my own bed, not bothering to change out of my clothes. I fell asleep pretty soon after. I knew that when I woke up things were going to be interesting.

A/N: Hey guys, Sally here, and I know I'm not consistent with this thing, but you know it could be worse. So, here's a long ass chapter!
