Chara POV

It's been a while since Faira left with Nova, and I'm a bit worried. Some of the other kids have tried to tell me that she's fine, but I can't help it! The house is so empty and lonely without her, I just want to see my big sister! Everyone has tried to cheer me up, but it just doesn't work like that. What if something happened?

What if she's in trouble? I wouldn't know! Watching every one else outside, I sat on my bed feeling overall lonely.

It's too quiet in here. I started humming to myself, it was a song, my song. I don't know when I learned it or where, but one day it just came to mind and in a way, it was sort of like my own theme. Faira doesn't have one, and neither does Nova, but all the other kids (with their pumped up kicks-) had themes of their own. About to consider taking a nap, I heard a scream, it sounded like...

I couldn't even describe it, it sounded distorted. Dashing out of the house, my eyes widened, there was a knot in my stomach, I couldn't bring myself to speak. There was a rift in the middle of Mayor Toriel's house and Toriel herself looked near demonic, her typical white fur now pitch black. All of her clothes had been flipped to the opposite colors. Whatever this was, it couldn't be good.

My chest then felt warm, I looked down and through my green t shirt *I had taken my hoodie off earlier, it was hot* there was a red glow. My soul is Determination, people have always told me that it was the strongest of them all, but I never understood why, after all, I didn't have any powers that I knew of. Now that I think about it, whenever I sing my song I feel warm, like I do right now. It couldn't be.... Could it?

Is my voice my power?! I mean, I have a strong urge to sing right now, it looks like that's the case. Taking a deep breath in, I started singing my theme, watching my soul grow brighter, hearing my voice grow stronger. Toriel let out a shriek, holding her head and screwing her eyes shut. I kept on going, not noticing the rift closing and Toriel returning to normal.

When I started feeling tired, I stopped singing, looking over at the now normal Toriel. I approached her, worried. "Mayor Toriel, are you okay? How did this happen?" She shook her head a little, responding back with an "I'm fine my child, but in truth, I don't how that happened, I was just reading when it started."

I nodded, understanding. "It's okay Toriel- I mean, Mayor Toriel." She corrected me on the slip up, saying that just Toriel was fine. After we sorted a few things out, I didn't care and went to bed, my concern for Faira at the back of my mind.
