After Emily had been dropped off a few blocks away, she was completely on her own.
Tyler had been the last person to leave her on her own as soon as they had met the man she knew as Felix.
He was a relatively tall man with blonde hair neatly brushed back and a small beard, nothing to over the top but she could tell he was well kept and took pride in his appearance.
Tyler had left her to get into the car with nothing but a worried smile and the hand over of a burner phone. One that she could use to get in contact with them if needed and Tyler's number was saved under an alias, one that she could pass off as her dealer if anyone was to get hold of the phone.
Mark, Jack and Ethan had been there with them, loading the car Felix had with the weaponry they had brought with them to make the deal. She knew what most of them were and anything she didn't know, she could pass off as something extra that her 'dealer' had thrown in there for her.
"Are you ready?" Felix had asked her as they were driving up to small gated off compound. He had a small accent, one that Emily couldn't place, but she knew it was there.
She didn't know how to answer his question. A few hours ago she would have confidently said 'yes' with a smile but now here she was, alone, without Tyler there to help her when needed and she was getting more and more nervous as the seconds ticked by.
"I don't really have a choice." Was all she could muster up for an answer.
The road they were travelling along was dusty and bumpy and, although they were in an SUV, Emily could feel every tiny bump in the road.
A few minutes after travelling down past the gate, they turned left onto another road, although in front of them was a building, something that looked straight out of a Marvel movie.
The walls were pure white, tall and towering over the rest of the scenery around them, even the trees looked miniscule compared to what was standing proud in front of her.
There were minimal windows running along the walls, making it look even more sinister than it had before.
The sliding security gates in front of her slowly slid open allowing the pair access to their meeting point.
The headlights illuminated three other SUVs in front of them, five men dressed completely in black stood by the hoods of each vehicle; all of them with their hands ghosting over the pistols that sat peacefully on their hips.
"Just do what Mark told you and you'll be okay." Felix's attempts at a comforting few words did nothing to ease the butterflies that had just hatched in her stomach. All she kept thinking was about Wade; this was her opportunity to get him back.
Felix stopped a few feet away from the men in front of them and turned the ignition off; the lights still illuminating them all.
Emily looked down at her own outfit, skinny black jeans, a black skin tight vest top and a long brown trench coat; Tyler had hooked a gun holster to her hip with his own .45 calibre sitting idle inside. Emily had hoped that she wouldn't have to use it but she was prepared in case she had to.
Felix climbed out of the car, an air of sophistication almost about him; Emily knew he was respected within this group.
Emily however sat in the seat for a little while longer trying to gather her thoughts, pulled her phone out of her pocket and made one small phone call to the one person she knew she could trust to pull her shit together for her.
"Victoria?"
"Oh Jesus, Em?!" Her voice was something that nearly bought Emily to tears but she had to keep her composure, the excuse of 'that was my dealer' wouldn't fly if she was crying her eyes out in the front seat of a car.
