"We barely even have enough for us, there's no way we will be able to get enough in two days to cover our needs and theres." Mark had been informed not too long ago about the deal that had been given to Emily when they had finally let her into their compound.

"Mark, I get that but-" Emily tried to defend but Mark cut her off before she could finish.

"What if we give them all our weapons and they come at us? They've already made a go for Bob, how are we going to be able to defend ourselves without our weapons?"Bob. Emily, in the midst of everything that was going on, had completely forgotten about him. She knew he was alive, still hooked up to monitors in his room, every so often Jack would stop by and change any bandages, any medical supplies that he required, but he was still out for the count.

"This is my brother we're talking about here Mark!" Emily exclaimed, her voice raising above her usual tone making Tyler, who was stood right beside her, flinch a little. "You brought me here, away from my nice little quiet life, to help you get my brother back because you were stupid enough to lose him. I don't care if we have to give them everything we own, I'm getting my damn brother back." She turned her back to Mark and stormed out of the room, disappointed when she didn't hear the door slam behind her, but she was too pissed to even consider going back just to slam it, just to make a point.

She allowed her feet to carry her outside into the large garden. The crisp cold air of the night kissed at her exposed arms as she made her way onto the lawn, the short and cool blades of grass caressed her bare feet as she walked. The moon light and the lights from inside of the house illuminated the garden enough for Emily to see where she was going. The lawn stretched for what seemed like miles, on either side of the fences, trees and bushes alternately lined the walls, a strig of fairy lights linked to all the trees, giving it that small magical feel.

At the far end of the garden, beside a small fish pond with a waterfall feature, was a lonely marble bench where Emily perched herself. She was hidden, for the most part, behind a collection of trees, enough for her to escape and think about what was going on.

Mark had literally taken her from her home, driven her to the middle of no where and told her this was now the life she was going to be living.

Wade had been her only objective for months now, and now she was finally close to getting him and Mark was trying to throw that all away? He had been the one to drag her into this shit. He had been the one to tell her what her brother had really spent his life doing and now he was just willing to give up.

Tears flowed silently down Emily's cheeks as she pulled her feet up in front of her, hugging her knees tight to her chest.

Wade had always been the one to help her in times of need, and when she needed him most he wasn't there. She felt like a small hole was getting bigger and bigger inside of her the longer she was away from her brother.

Emily didn't look up when she heard the sounds of shoes hitting the decking by the house, or when she could hear the slight crunch on the grass as someone made their way over to her. She didn't have to look up to know it was Tyler.

He didn't say a single word as he sat on the bench beside Emily's feet, resting a hand on her knee to comfort her.

"How can he be so selfish?" Emily asked, finally being able to find her voice as she raised her head, her lightly curled hair falling in front of her face.

"He's scared."

"You don't think I am? He's not the one going into the middle of the damn lions den, but does he see me freaking out like that?"

"It's not just Wade, Em." Tyler pulled himself closer to Emily so he was practically hugging her knees. "He has you to think about, what if something happened to you and then we got Wade back, he'd go insane."

"Is this why Mark is being cautious or why you are?" Emily laughed, wiping her tears away with the tips of her fingers; Tyler joined her laugh.

"We all care about you Em, and we're worried that something could happen to you if we don't get this exactly right. We're going to be able to get you in there, I just might have to pull a few strings with some people okay?" Emily nodded, moving her body so that she was now curled up into Tyler's side, his arm now wrapped around her shoulder. "We've just to work out a few kinks and it'll be fine." He kissed the top of her head and hauled himself up, holding out a hand for Emily to take.

She took it gladly, walking back to the house with him in silence.

She knew what he was saying was right, she knew that all she needed to do was give them a little time to work it out, but on the other hand she only had two days to get everything together.

Eventually, Tyler left her at the entrance to her room, a comforting kiss on the top of her head before he let her go.

She pulled off her clothes as quickly as possible, pulled on her shorts and vest top before climbing under the duvet.

The day had been a whirlwind for her. It was the closest she had been to getting her brother back in a long time and now here she was, he was so close and now they were coming to a hurdle.

She knew she was going to get her brother back, no matter what it took.
