*Damian's pov*

"I would love to know what you want me to do for you Mrs Olivia" I say in a confused voice

"Mr devian, do you know that changing nature of the very own land we live on is the biggest sin we commit"

"Yes Madame"

"The natural cycles, goes on and on and on. if we disturb it, it's a sin. And if we see about it, humans are bigger devils than us"

"Agreed" totally agreed. Earth is worse than hell, people are worse than a devil. And we are the one getting discredited for our deeds,all we do is claim souls with sins.

"You are an intelligent devil" she starts playing with what seems like a ring made of metal , grey colour on her wedding finger.

"Your father had so much duties to fill in,so much responsibilities" she says.

I don't even understand a word

"See, I got a request from the upper land a few days ago that your father was killed by 3 devils from hell, he was innocent and he didn't deserve to die"

"That's correct Mr Olivia"

"That's what I was informed by someone named  Pesisca through ritual"

"Yes"

"You see, the 3 devils you're talking about were agents sent by fire punishing chamber to take your father to chamber where he fullfil his duty as caretaker of sin of souls"

"What?" This is a whole new context! What the hell? He never told us any about his duty with these royal family members.

Oh how he broke my trust now!

"He ran from responsibility since so many decades, and when we sent agents to bring him back, some ritual occured and even before we tell him how to begin his duty, he left the place"

"The reason for replacement is died without 'time' and Mr devian, that's utter lie , his time came long ago, he lived way more than expected on earth. He is overdue Mr devian"

My eyes become watery. I've to leave my father?! After all this?!

I sacrificed this much for what?!for letting my father lie to us! He never told us he had duty in the chambers. And I'm ashamed to bring him back like this but more than that, I'm worried that they'll take father in Underwold and my father won't see us ever again until we die and go back to hell to fulfill our duties as devils.

"You look baffled , Mr devian"
Her firm voice fills the empty hallway in which we are sitting now.

I open my mouth to speak but nothing actually comes out. This is frustrating. So that's why this was all pre planned. That's why my father already told me we need some human to sacrifice.

"You are skeptic"

"No!" I say immediately. But I don't know what to do anymore. I just sit there, regretting everything. Regretting believing my father, regretting harming Jen for him. How can I treat a girl like shit for my own personal problems?

"I see red lizard on your head, it's rather fascinating that you're feeling guilty but Mr devian I must tell you this, save the guilt it rather have to worth a different matter. As for now, I will stay here for a while and visit your father tomorrow"

"So....."

How should I continue?

"Are you gonna?"

"Yes Mr devian, I'm gonna take your father back to 9 chambers" she says, and I know she means she will take my father to hell where he'll fulfill his duty but he'll be dead in present world.

That makes my heart ache because we'll be living  here for a while .
