THE NEXT DAY came, light shining through the curtains on the window. Angel stirred and saw the beautiful face of her friend Finnick Odair, he was sleeping soundly and looked so peaceful. She really didn't want to get up and start training for her death, but of course she has to, getting up she got dressed and pulled her long hair into a high ponytail. Once she came back from the bathroom she saw Finnick sitting up on the bed rubbing his eyes, he looked gorgeous. Angel understood why so many, people, if you want to say, liked him and were fond of him. But that doesn't make it right for what Snow forces him to do. "Morning my beautiful Angel. How are you?" Angel heard making her snap out of her thoughts. "I'm fine. Did you sleep well?" She responded taking a seat by Finnick on the bed. "I always do when I'm with you." He smiled at her making Angel blush and look down. "You better get dressed, we have some training to do today." She stood up and went to the dinning room for breakfast, leaving Finnick alone in the bedroom.
Quickly he got dressed and scrambled down to the dinning room, seeing everyone else already there talking and eating. Taking the empty seat next to Angel he started digging into his food. "Make sure you guys train hard, get back into shape." Noah looked at the two victor's of district four. They didn't say anything but he knew that they heard him, quickly they finished breakfast and headed to the elevator. Entering the training room some tributes were already there training, district two was there, Johanna, and some others. But Angel didn't see either of twelve there yet. She walked over to the throwing knives, grabbing a bunch and putting them in a knife belt she put on. Walking up to the simulator she typed how many people she wanted and then walked into the center, the first sim popped up running towards her. Pulling out a knife she threw it, hitting straight in where the heart would be. Sim after sim came and she hit every single one of them, with precise accuracy.
Taking in a deep breath she turned to see multiple eyes on her. Feeling shy Angel walked out, not making eye contact with anyone who was watching her. Putting the belt back she walked over to the tridents Finnick now by her side, both of them grabbed a trident and walked on the platform facing one another. "I'll go easy, okay?" Finnick nodded towards to his district partner. Angel shook head no, "Don't you even think about going easy on me." She half glared at him. He smirked at her, rising their weapons they started the training session. Finnick was right now pushing Angel down to the ground, tridents pressing against each other. Lifting her foot she swiped at Finnick's feet knocking him over. Getting up quickly she kicked his trident away from the both of them, and climbed on top of the blonde. Straddling his waist, Angel pressed the tip of her trident at his neck. Putting his hands up in defeat she relaxed, but Finnick took that chance and flipped them over. Taking her weapon and pinning her arms on the side of her head as she tried to wiggle out from under him. "Never let your guard down." Finnick said in a teasing voice, making Angel roll her eyes. Finnick was really the only one she would let her guard down around, cause that's just how much she trusted him. Getting up he held out a hand for Angel to help her up, taking it she stood and they both put their weapons away. Deciding now to go chit chat with a few of the other tributes.
"Wow, you're really good." Angel said startling a blonde haired boy from district twelve. "Oh, um, thank you. Angel Havoc, right?" Peeta already knew who she was, he really wanted to meet her in person. "Yes, Peeta Mellark yeah?" Peeta nodded a little shocked at how she knew his name. "I-I saw you throwing those knives, you're really good." The young boy stuttered out making Angel smile the smallest of smiles. "Thanks, so you and Katniss. You too seem fairly close, hmm." Peetas eyes looked around the room when Angel said that, she noticed his reaction, making her think that their little love for one another may be one sided. "Y-yeah, we're two peas in a pod, haha." This boy sucks a lying. "It's just to bad that, your love for each other is fake." Angel whispered in his ear, turning around and leaving the boy before hearing if he had anything to say. Looking she saw Finnick once again talking, or bothering, Katniss at the rope tying station. Angel watched as he did the knot to hang someone, Katniss held her guard around Finnick, she could see Katniss doesn't let her guard down around new people. Finnick had placed the rope around his head and tighten it around his neck, then motioning of someone hang him. Walking closer she stood right in front of the two, "Will you take me for a walk?" he asked Katniss holding the end out to her, but she only walked away. "Well it was worth a shot." Finnick shrugged looking now directly at Angel, she shook her head and grabbed onto the end of the rope. "Come on pretty boy." Tugging made him jerk forward and follow behind to where ever she was going, which ended up with them getting lunch in the cafeteria.
"So I saw you talking to Peeta, what'd you two talking about, hmm?" Finnick asked Angel, curious as to what the young boy said to her to make her smile a little, and what she whispered in his ear. "He's really good at art and stuff, so I complemented him on it. Then he said I'm really good at throwing knives, which I sort of smiled at. Um, then I asked him about the love fest between him and Katniss which he started to stutter about, and finally I said it's too bad that their love isn't love, at least not yet. Which also that boy sucks at lying." Angel explained to him in short about what they said to each other. Finnick simply nodded, he was glad to see her smile, specially under these circumstances. During the time of when it was her games, she never smiled once. He saw the fear in her eyes, even though she tried to put on a strong facade he could see right through her. It pained him to see her so scared and sad, he wished that he could take her pain away, all her fears and worries, all her doubts and troubled thoughts. But to his dismay, all he could do is watch and try to be there for her. "That boy is really head over heels for the girl on fire. It's sad she's so blind to his love, I wonder if she loves him?" Angel wondered, not really talking to Finnick, but more to herself.
Hearing her question though, he too wondered the same. 'Does Angel love me? Does she know that I love her? What if she doesn't feel the same way? What if she does know that I love her, but she's just ignoring it cause she doesn't feel the same?' These questions kept running through his head that he didn't hear Angel trying to get his attention. "Finn. Hey, are you okay?" Angel's voice finally made it to his ears making him look directly at her. "Oh yeah. I was just spacing." He replied quickly, Angel didn't believe him but she decided not to push him. "Come on, lets get back to training." Getting up they both headed back to the training room. Finished for the day Angel and Finnick headed back to their apartment, Noah being the first face they see. "Hello you two. Looks like you both got some good workout today." Angels stylist smiled at them, they just nodded and headed to their rooms to get changed. Gathering for dinner not much was said, but Angel did wonder if Noah and Finnick's stylist are part of the rebellion, do they know about the rebellion? "I want you both to get good rest tonight. You got interviews tomorrow and I want you both to look your best." Pearl looked at the two. 'Does Pearl know about the rebellion?' Angel wondered, she wanted to know how many were actually in this rebellion. If there are more who are in on this rebellion, maybe just maybe, they might have a chance to win and take Snow down.
