Chapter 19

For me, mothers were last Sunday so i thought this chapter was a good idea :)  

Mothers day

I wake up to the smell of breakfast and giggling, I smile laying back into my pillow smiling. I walked out of the room to see Owen sitting on the bench with flour in his hair, while Mon-el had it on his shirt. I chuckled as I watched them from the doorway. "Morning boys," I say walking out. "Mumma," Owen said with a cheeky smile. "Hi baby," I say with a smile. "Mummys day," he said holding out his Hands "Thank you," I said picking him up giving him a kiss. "Morning," I say walking over to Mon-el giving him a kiss. "What's for breakfast," I ask "offals," Owen said "Good choice mummy favourite," I said looking at him. "I ade o something," Owen said wiggling from my arms. "ooo," I ask putting him down away from the kitchen as he ran to the living area where I saw the paper, and crayons all over the place. I smile at Mon-el "We didn't have time to go get you something" he said "Its ok" I tell him smiling going him another kiss.

"Oook," Owen said running back to me, giving me a picture "Oh Owen it's beautiful," I say looking at a picture of bigs heads and tiny stick figures. "Daddy," He said, "Oh yes he is, should I put it up on the fridge?" I asked he nodded "Ok bud lets get the table ready," I tell him, he nods and helps me carry over the mats, and then tries to push over his chair. "You want some help?" I ask Owen. "I good," he tells me. I nod and allow him to push it himself. I went back to help Mon-el with breakfast but he pushed me out of the kitchen making me sit on the couch.

Once breakfast was ready Owen helped me off the couch and walked me to the table where he pulled the chair out, I told him that I could push myself in, while Chris helped him in his high chair.

"So what would you like to do today?" Mom-el asked me "um to be honest just be with my son and boyfriend," I said looking at him, he smiles, "You're the CEO of cat co, you could book anywhere and you want to just stay at home?" He asked I nodded. "I would love to sit back and watch a movie, I mean I don't have much to do." I tell mon-el, he nods "what about we go for a picnic I saw they were having a Mother's Day lunch down there" he suggested, "yeah I guess so." I reply with a smile happy that he wants to make this day so special.

"Did you want to get the picnic ready and I'll get Owen ready" I suggested. "Sounds good," He says taking my hand, giving it a squeeze. I smile at him and help Owen with his breakfast, as well as eat mine.

Once we were all finished we all cleaned up together, Mon-el continued to make us lunch, so we could go down to the park.

"Ok, bud can we have a bath so you look beautiful for mummy," I ask him. He smiles and nod's "Good now let's have a bath." I say

After Owens Bath, I have a shower myself and allow Mon-el to have a shower so he can get ready, so we can go to the park.

Mon-el POV

We are all ready, the bag of food is packed, Kara packed Owens bag of things, sunscreen, a book, and colouring pads and texta's. "Why no iPad?" I asked Kara. She chuckled. "I know he's an alien, but he's not going to be one of those kids that are addicted to a screen, and I'm not going to be one of those parents that will just hand him iPad." She told me I just nodded.

"Ok, you ready?" I asked her. "Yep. Owen did you want to walk or sit in the pram.?" I asked Kara's son. "Up," he said to me. "not today." He looks at me and frowns. "Mamma up," he asked Kara. "No, in the pram or walk," she tells her son. He frowns at her two and gets in the pram. "Thank you, now let's go to the park," Kara says as we walk out the door and down to the park.

When we get down their, many people were down there we walked around and found a place where we could sit down. "I don't know there was going to be a mothers day fair down here," Kara told me. "Yeah well I just saw flyer yesterday," I told her with a smile giving her a kiss, before laying out the rug, so we could all sit down. "So what would you like to go do?" I asked her.

"Now sure, maybe look around and see what's going on?" She asked no idea what to actually do. "Ok, there's a lot of people that have left their stuff so, maybe you and Owen could have a look around and I could stay here, or come with you?" I asked her "Yeah, you can come with me if you like." She asked we both smile getting and walking around to see what was going on.

"There's a mummy photo booth, you wanna try that Owen?" I asked him. "Ess," he says with a cheeky smile. I see Kara smile too. We line up, and while we line up a few other mums come racing up to us, so they could take a photo with Kara. "Thank you, so much, I would love to stay and chat, but I would really like to spend time with my son on mothers day," she told them nicely, they all nodded and said goodbye leaving her and us together as we were next in line for a photo to be taken. After their photo was taken we walked around for a little while longer to that there were many things for Owen to do for mummy, as well as some food trucks.

We sat back down where our blankets laid out, I grabbed the food out and we all sat down. "So Owen what do you want to do with mummy.?" I asked him "Bounce, " he said pointing at the bouncy castle. "Ok, how about we do something while out stomach settles" Kara suggested. "k," he said with a smile and ate some of his butter and cheese sandwiches. "What do you want to do?" I asked Kara. "I don't know maybe walk around, I would love if I could see Eliza," she told me "Your foster mum?" I asked her, she nodded. "Is she in town?" I asked her "Yeah" She replied "She's with Alex" she replied looking down. "Why don't you ask them to come down?" I told her. "Yeah I guess" she replied getting out her phone.

Alex her daughter who was 3 years old and recently adopted and Eliza came down to the park and sat with us for the remainder of the time, going to different parts of the park to do things with their mums.
