Chapter 35

Authors POV

A few weeks past after 'Kara's fainting spell. Kara was back at work a couple days a week. This meant she was able to spend more with Owen. On the days they both worked Mon-el would drop him off to daycare so he could be at work early. Mon-el would pick Owen up and be home first on the days where Kara needed to be at work later into the night.

While she was off Clark, Nia, Ally and Kia made sure everything was in order, so when the CEO came back, three people knew what was going on and able to show her what happened while she was off. Clark suggested that she hires Kia to help ally and hires a capable person to help her when she is not there or allow Paige to go in 'Nia's place and let Nia to shadow and help when she is not there, and kick people out of they are not performing their jobs.

Today is one of 'Kara's days off, it's also an open day for all the parents to see how this child/ren are going. This is also a good idea for Kara to see how they go with Owen. So she can figure out if it's a good idea to send him to another daycare or even send him to pre kindy.

"Ok, bud let's go in there. If there is anything wrong come to me right away, ok" Kara tells her son, he nods and smiles. The mother and son walked into the daycare, where they were met with the Owner of the daycare. "Hi, you must be Mrs Danvers, and this must be Owen" the lady bent down to Owens level. Owen hid behind his mother's legs. The lady chuckled "Say hello Owen" Kara said, ruffling her son's head of hair. "Hey, Owen, why 'don't you go play with some of your friends," the lady said, he shook his head. "Owen, I will be here for the day," Kara said as she held him, he shook his head. "Do you need to speak to me?" Kara asked. "No... friends," he said though hiccuping through cry's "Ok, um. How about we go out, and you can play, I'll watch you, and maybe we can talk?" Kara asked the lady nodded

As Owen was playing with some trucks. "So is everything ok?" Kara asked "I have had some workers and interns come to me about Owen," she said as Owen started to play with another kid. Kara and the Owner walked into a quiet room where they could talk in privet.

"So a few people have been talking about Owen being an Alien. Now I do not want one to discriminate, and I see a lot of potential in him, I just want to know if you have noticed anything with the people here?" The lady asked. Kara sighed does she tell the Owner that she and Owen are Aliens, or does she leave it and not say anything.

"No other than the fact that my 2-year-old say says he doesn't want to go to daycare because they think he is an alien. Also, because I have had two staff members say that to me that I am an alien" Kara explained. The Owner of the daycare "Right" She spoke not sure what to say. "I know that you are a big advocate to aliens and their rights, and it's unacceptable for them to be doing that. I would like your son to feel like he belongs" The lady replied. Kara nodded as they heard cries. "that's mum son's cries." Kara said, getting up racing to see that her son was being held down. Kara was mortified at what she saw, she didn't know what to think. Kara wanted to cry but held it in. She stopped the Owner showing her. Before Kara storming in. "Get your hands off my son" Kara roared, causing the parents who were watching some videotaping the incident not doing anything to stop what the worker was doing. "I would like video footage. Everyone that is here I would like a statement about this ladies behaviour. I think it is fair that I can press charges." Kara spoke. Her son running toward her as he clung to her. "Mrs Danvers, I am so sorry," the lady said, shocked at what just happened, and how it traumatize Owen "No, please I don't want my son here if she is here," Kara said walking out with her son who still had tears in his eyes.

Kara strapped her sobbing son into his seat, giving him a treat. "Its ok baby, we will take you to another daycare uncle Clark gave me some places in National City that might be good" Kara said as Owen nodded. Kara sat in the front sear and called Alex putting her on speaker telling her what happened but also so that they could find Owen a better daycare for her son.

Kara walked into the DEO with Owen beside her, thankfully his crying faded though still shaken up from the incident at his daycare. "Bud why don't you go play with some of your toys. Mummy needs to speak with Aunty Alex" Kara said as Owen ran off to a training room by himself, knowing his way around the DEO.

"So what happened?"" Alex said as they walked into the main briefing area to the DEO.

"The Owner was there today, she asked to talk to me, but Owen wouldn't let go of me, so we went into the play area, so he could play." Kara started "As he started playing, we talked about issues. People accused him of being an alien. As he played with some kid, so we went into another room. We talked, we heard some screams I knew they were his screams to we went out, a staff member was holding him down" Kara said, choking down her tears. Alex pulled her terrified and sobbing sister into a hug. "Hey, it's ok, Owen will go to a different centre. Have you called Mon-el?" Alex asked. Kara shook her head, wiping away her tears. "No I 'don't want to disturb him at work," Kara answered "Ok, I will spend some time with Owen you have a look at centres, we will talk about this later I hope you asked for the footage," Alex said. "I did, I am working with the owner" Kara replied, nodding her head walking to one of the DEO computers to find a daycare. With the help of some DEO agents, we were able to find a few daycares for Owen, where we would be able to go and have an interview and see if Owen likes the daycare.
