Authors POV

Eliza Kara's mum came up so she could look after Owen, so she, Alex her new girlfriend Beka and Mon-el went out on a 'Double date'.

"So let me get this straight, Alex found you a Nannie, which is a he, and now she is trying to set you up with him?" Eliza asked "Yes, I mean he is cute, and I think l like him but I don't want something to happen and then well everything goes wrong and he quits as my Nannie, and Owen asks where his dad is," told her adoptive mother. Eliza just nods "OK," she said with a smile. "Do I look good?" She asked her mum. "You look beautiful, now what do I need to do with Owen?" She asked picking him up, giving him a hug. "Um fed and bath, I am trying to wean him off milk of night, but put him to bed at 8 pm, and if he wakes up and starts crying don't pick him up, because I want to sleep train him and if he asks to sleep with you, say no and put him straight back in bed, without saying a word" Kara told her mum. "Well looks like you have got it down packed," Eliza told her daughter. "Thank you" she replied as she got her purse and a jacket, just as the doorbell rang. Kara opened it to see Mon-el in his everyday clothes, but somehow it was different tonight, it was like he looked more handsome. "Hi," Kara said with a smile on her face Mon-el was quiet for a little bit "Hi," he said shaking his head "Um you look nice," he said. "Thank you, um I'm just going to say goodbye to Owen and then we can head out, I think we are meeting at the alien bar and then out to a restaurant," Kara told him. "Ok," he said. "You can come in, my adoptive mum is looking after Owen," she said. "Ok, he Simply said. "Hi, you must be Mon-el," Eliza asked Mon-el "Yes, you must be Kara's Mother, it's nice to meet you," he said shaking her hand. She nodded. "Ok, Ready?" Kara asked. "Yes," Mon-el said as they walked out the door

The two walked to the Alien bar, casually talking about Owen and Kara's work since she had started going to back to work a few days a week.

As they walked in Kara immediately saw Alex and her girlfriend Beka, Kara grabbed Mon-el's hand. He looked at her, and she looked at each other with a smile. "Hey Alex" Kara says giving her a hug, "Hey Beka how are you?" Kara asked, "Good thanks Kara, how was Owen?" He is good Eliza is looking after him tonight, um this is Mike" Kara said to Beka. "Hi Mike," she said shaking his hand.

They all sat down and had a drink before going out to a restaurant Beka had picked out.

"So Mike, Alex tells me that your an Alien, like Kara?" She questioned Mon-el looked at Kara and Alex they nodded "Um yeah, I am from Daxum" he told Beka. The four talked about their lives and work, Kara's work about what's new in the world, as well as their work at the DEO, Beka new about the DEO, like Kara's assistant she had to take an oath, so they knew the agents and Well Alex been the director or the DEO that she could be trusted and, help to help the world and catch rouge destructive aliens.

After a few drinks, the four walked to the restaurant after been seated a young girl and her boyfriend walked up to her. "Are you Kara Danvers, that runs Cat Co now, and writes all the alien articles?" She asked. "Um yes," Kara said, "Can I have your autograph?" She asked, "Um sure" Kara replied with a smile, grabbing a napkin and a pen writing her autograph on it for the young girl. "Thank you" she replied she walked away, as the waiter came over.

"Hi, Oh Mrs Danvers," the waiter said she smiled "Can I take your order?" He asked the four, "Um can I have the ravioli?" Beka said he nodded. "I will have the same," Alex said "Um can I can I have the crumbed chicken and pot stickers," Kara said "Sure," he said and wrote it down, "And for you sir?" He asked Mon-el "I will have the same as her?" He replied pointing at Kara. "No worries and Drink?" He asked "Water," Kara said. "Beer for us two," Beka said for both her and Alex "I'll have a coke thanks?" He told the weighted. He nodded and walked away. "Was that?" Alex asked her sister, Kara nodded her head. "Who was it?" Mon-el asked "Owens father" Kara responded "Kara, I'm" Beka started "Its ok, I haven't seen in well almost 2 years so it's ok," Kara said with a smile, Mon-el rubbed her back. Beka nodded unaware that this is were her ex and the father of her child worked.

The four talked and ate their food, Kara and Mon-el looked at each other a couple of times while Alex and Beka held hands most of the time when they were not eating. Once they finished eating Alex said she wanted to order dessert, they each shared a piece of chocolate cake. Alex and Beka ate like a couple there were totally involve while Kara and Mon-el just share it like that had been married for 3 years sharing it. As the night went on kara still not having all her powers back desperately wanted to go home, she agreed to pay for the whole meal since well she was earning more than Alex, Beka and Mon-el and could put in on her work card but knew that it wouldn't be right to do that.

Alex and Beka kicked on while Mon-el and Kara headed back to Kara's Apartment, walking side by side, on the streets. Mon-el saw other couples going out for the mid-week date night, cuddling, laughing, eating ice cream. "Thank you for coming with me," Kara told Mon-el as they walking into Kara's Apartment block. "Its ok" he replied been a gentleman he walked her up to her door, and was going to leave and well eat more ice cream pining over Kara hoping one day that she will see him more than just the nanny for her son, wanting to be more for her, someone to wake up next to, seep next to and to have her son sleep in-between them, or come in just as they started to make out.

Kara's POV

"Um, I had a good night, thank you," Mon-el said, not even going me a kiss on the check. "Mon-el stop," I said, he turned around. "Um, do you want to come inside, I think I should tell you something," I said. "Um.." He said hesitating for a little bit. "OK," he concluded.

We walked inside, to see Eliza watching TV, "Hi Eliza," I said. "Hi Kara, Mon-el she said whispering. "How was he" I asked "Good he is asleep in his bed" Eliza told me, smiling, I nodded "Thank you for doing this I will see you tomorrow for lunch" I told her, she smiled and gave me a hug, once she left I turned to Mon-el who was leaning against the counter. "Um, so I remember" I started "What?" He questioned, "Oh come on Mon-el don't play games with me, I remember kissing you, I..." I started "I just, you just started as Owens Nannie, and I was in like a days Coma" I started. "I just, I don't want you to be my nanny, and then we go out, then something happens to us, we have a fight and we can't stand around been each other, and I will have to find a new nanny, and Owen will start asking where you are" I started as Mon-el walked up to me holding my face. "I promise I won't be that kinda jerk that Owens father is," He told me as we started to lean into each other there was a knock at the door, making Owen make up. AHHHHHG Why, why now, we were going to kiss for real and we have to be interrupted. I abruptly open the door swinging it open mad at whomever out was. "Kara," He said. My face was in complete shock... why now why after we saw each other, when he took my order, what after almost 2 years, after not been there for none of it, the scans the birth, his first words, his first steps. "Want do you want?" I asked
