🐾Chapter 8🐾

"Guys I think it's time to call it a night. We have a pretty good plan, and we need to stick with it." Tata Said and gestured for everyone to follow him out.

The other companions understood his gesture and followed him out of the small room. Once out in the hall, it was quiet. The boys must have gone to bed, probably because they were very tired of course.

"Goodnight you guys." Shooky Said with a small sniff due to still crying before sliding under the crack of Suga's bedroom door.

Inside it was dark, and moonlight poured through the window like a river of light. It lit up the room enough to where Shooky could see a clear path to the bed.

When Shooky sniffed again, he noticed that Suga was sitting in bed looking out of the window on the far wall. Shooky could see his arms wrapping around himself for warmth because of the AC blasting in the corner. Shooky felt the cold air too and shivered before rushing over to the other side of the bed, where Suga's legs hung over the edge and his feet were gently on the floor.

Shooky was about to say something, but Suga's face worried him. He looked sad..

"Suga?" Shooky managed to say and that caused his human friend to look down.

Right by Suga's foot, stood the cookie. He had tears still staining his cheeks, and Shooky had tried to cover them up before but to no avail.

"Oh Shooky, there you are." Suga Said and bent down the best he could from the bed to set his hand on the ground.

When Shooky saw the gesture, he nodded and stepped onto the mans hand. It was warm, soft, and calm. It could easily take away all of his sorrow.

After a few seconds, Suga had his hand containing Shooky in his lap.

The man could only feel sadness right now, he just didn't want to lose his best friend. Ya, they fought and argued a lot, but they always figure out a way to make up. And there was more meaning behind their arguments than just 'disagreeing.'

"Suga, don't be sad." Shooky Said and turned to looked straight up at his friend.

Suga then looked down and gulped. He could feel them coming, the tears.. he can't let them out! Not now! It would make Shooky worry even more!

Holding the tears, didn't work out well, and they spilled across Suga's cheeks like waterfalls. Some small droplets fell from his face and landed on his hand beside Shooky. The cookie then realized the situation, and quickly hugged Suga's stomach that was right in front of him.

"It's hard Shooky, Its hard to be happy in a world like this.." Suga Said and let out a shivering breathe when he felt his companion hugging his gut.

It felt nice, but it made him feel nervous. Being sad like this, could cause Shooky to disappear.

"Don't think that way!" Shooky stepped away on Suga's hand then and scowled, "I make you happy don't I?! W-wait.. do I?" Shooky asked now with a gulp, could it be true?

All this time, was Suga not happy? He couldn't be sad.. if he was Shooky would have already left.

Suga on the other end, was frozen and his tears still continued to flow. He didn't mean for what he said to come out that way..

"Of course you do Shooky, I would be very miserable if you weren't here buddy." Suga Said and slowly lied on his back, having Shooky going to stand on the bed covers.

Shooky smiled a little and hopped over to Suga's face, causing the man to look over at him and chuckle a little when the cookie was making weird faces.

"What's so funny?" Shooky asked and folded his arms with a grunt.

That only made Suga chuckle even more and he set his hand behind Shooky gently.

"Come on, let's get some rest bud." Suga Said and slowly made his way across the bed, then he got under the covers.

Shooky shrugged and followed before laying down beside Suga's face on the pillow.

It was nice, the two felt relaxed finally. It almost felt as if the moment could last forever.

A few seconds passed by, and Suga was already snoring away, having Shooky still lying awake.

He then got close to the man beside him for warmth, and the cookie sighed.

He wondered what the other Companions were doing right now. Were they talking with their humans that could still be awake? Were they already asleep? It was hard for him to figure it out, but that wasn't his biggest worry. What he really thought hard on, was the fact that companions were leaving right now, and definitely close by.

Shooky got stunned out of his thoughts when Suga let out a louder snore than the others before that and seemed to shift in his sleep a little.

The cookie beside the man could feel his heart warm up now, and he set his small little hand onto Suga's forehead. Not hard enough to wake him though, he was gentle.

"Thank you Suga, for everything." The cookie said before laying back down and closing his eyes.

The only sounds to be heard, was the AC, Suga's snores, and the whistling wind outside. It actually helped Shooky fall into his own slumber, he hoped good dreams would await him.
