chapter 16

A few minutes later, i heard footsteps approaching and someone came and sat next to me. "I'm so sorry El" i heard Olivia's voice. She rubbed my back soothingly as i laid my head on her shoulder crying harder.

"I think i made it worse when i started yelling but i couldn't stay quiet..." she confessed but i shaked my head sniffling. She pulled my closer caressing my hair until i stopped crying.

Suddenly connor crouched in front of us handing me some tissues. I grabbed them gratefully and wipped my tears away. 

"Come on let's take you back to the hotel" he suggested taking my hand to help me stand up. I was still feeling a bit dizzy, he supported my weight as i almost stumbled over the stairs.

"are you okay? Can you walk?" He asked worried. I nodded my head as he slided his arm down my back to help me walk to the car.

"what about Geoff and Brian?" I mumbled weakly.

"they'll follow us later. We don't want shawn to get suspicious.  They'll tell him you got a bit tired and went back to the hotel" i nodded my head as i entered the backseat of his car Olivia soon following, i rested my head on her shoulders as she massaged my scalp calmly soothing my headache.

We headed to our room, as I laid on the bed, i didn't say a word the entire ride. The terrible scene replaying in my head over and over again.

"El don't let their words get to you. They're just wicked brats, who just want to make others feel miserable" Olivia braught me a glass of cold water sitting next to me.

"She was right... no one knows me and I'm already getting lots of hate, what do you think will happen when they do..." i took a sip sighing.

"Don't say that, they don't even know you yet. I'm sure all the others won't react the same way" she tried to cheer me up.

"You also did the same. Remember when you saw our first photo together. You got furious and called me names too" her face went pale as she stared at me in guilt.

"But when i found out it was you i was so happy. Because i know you're an amazing person and will treat him good. And so the fans who truly cares about shawn will feel the same towards you" she held my hand.

"Can you guarantee that i won't get any hate?" I asked my voice breaking as she let out a breath

"You're my best friend, and i have to be honest with you." I nodded my head for her to continue.

"it's more likely that the fans will have a negative reaction at first and start hating on you. I know it's hard for you to make a decision but promise i will stand by your side no matter what you do" she posed caressing my cheek.

"If you decide to leave him, i will bring you some ice cream and hug you tightly the whole time until you feel better and if you decide to stay with him and take a risk, i will encourage and defend you and punch anyone who tries to get to you" i laughed pulling her in a hug.

"Thank you, i never say this but I'm glad your my best friend" i whispered into her ear.

Shawn's POV
"Olivia threatened to kill me if i tell you, but i had too. You're my friend and you need to know the truth" Brian and Geoff stormed into my room.

By the time Brian finished telling me the story, i was filled with anger and rage but at the same time i couldn't help but feel guilty and upset. Because I'm the reason why she's in pain, if it wasn't for me she wouldn't have heard those mean words.

"So what are you going to do?" Geoff broke the silence. But i ignored his answer mostly because i didn't know what to do.

"I can't believe how can someone be this cruel and vicious towards an innocent person." i breathed out in anger curling my hands into a fist.

"It's not the first time. You've delt with worse when you started your career, remember?" Brian placed his hand on my shoulder.

"Yeah i was the one getting all the hate, it didn't effect anyone else! Unlike now I'm the reason why she's getting hate, all because I'm dating her. I feel so terrible" i placed my elbows on my knees covering my face with my hand.

"Hey it's not your fault. It's just some mean people who love hurting others to satisfy themsleves" Geoff snapped.

"People calling themsleves my fans act this horrible... wow!" I laughed bitterly. I stood putting on my jacket as i headed ro the door.

"Where are you going?" Brian asked.

"I'm going for a walk, I'll meet you guys at the hotel" i mumbled opening the door.
