Jaren's POV
Four weeks later
I lay down on John's bed. He doesn't have a guest bed and he refused to let me sleep on the floor. "Don't we have homework?" I ask remembering Mrs. Bitchen giving us work we've never done. "Oh shit, forgot about that." John says turning on his computer to check the homework. "Ugh! 10 pages?! How the hell does she expect us to do 10 pages?!" John yells after looking at the homework. "Quiet down boys!" I hear John's mother yell from the other room. We laugh slightly. "Why don't I do 5 pages and you do 5? Split the work." I suggest. "That works." John says giving me his book. "You do pages 185, 186, 187, 188, and 189. I'll do 190, 191, 192, 193, 194, and 195." John says. I take a picture of my pages to use because I don't have my book. 2 hours of homework later I stop at a question. "Fucking no. No!" I scream in agony. "What?" Asks John looking up from his work. "It's a fucking essay!" I scream. "Boys it's 12:30! Stop yelling!" John's mother yells. Very hypocritical. "I'm done! I'm done! I can't do an essay with all of these problems left to do!" I grab my hair and look down. I hear a movement from the computer and then there's a dip in the bed. John grabs my hands and pries them out of my hair. When I let go of my hair he continues holding my hands. "Jaren. It's okay. We can do that tomorrow." I hear his voice in my ear. I continue to look at the ground. "Jaren look at me." John says. John takes my face in his hands and moves my head from the floor. He looks into my eyes. I look into his eyes. I feel a light blush spread across my face. We lean in.
