Chapter 12

The rest of the walk was silent, Sasuke and Sakura staring at Naruto s back. Naruto ignored them, instead thinking of what the encounter with Zabuza would be like. It would certainly be...different, seeing as Kakashi has his memories. Not to mention the Tazuna thing. Did he really remember?

All this Naruto pondered as they climbed in the boat and began to think.
  'If Tazuna remembers, then who else could? Does Inari remember? Will Sakura and Sasuke?' He was pulled out of his thoughts by a hand on his shoulder.

  "Thinkin' a bit hard now kid?" It's Tazuna, and he looks just as he had last time, drunk and- wait! Tazuna didn't look shifty and scared like last time, but instead, it was like he knew something.

  "No. I was just wondering about what I would do if another war were to happen in the nation." Tazuna smiled.  

"Nah kid. The Shadows would protect the Light. They may fail, but Light is reborn in the past, and the generations ahead."

Naruto grins. "And it seems three Shadows have returned to protect the Light in the Kings to come. And They are stronger than ever." Tazuna laughs.

  "How'd ya do it?" He whispers.

"Never underestimate the Uzumaki. Their sealing jutsu are powerful."

   The rest of the boat ride was quiet, until....

   "Kami! I can feel you two staring at me! Spit it out!" Naruto exclaims.

   Sakura says. "Of course we are staring! You killed someone!"

  Naruto snorts. " Yes. Because if I hadn't, he would have killed someone else. He tried to kill our client so I killed him."

  "Liar." It was said quietly. Naruto looked at Sasuke. "How? How am I a liar Sasuke?"

  "You didn't kill the guy for the mission. You killed him for me. He would have killed me, so you killed him." Ah. So that's why he was staring. 

    "I don't appreciate people trying to harm my precious people." Sasukes eyes widen.

  Naruto states ahead, once more ignoring their shocked stares.
