He walked out of my house because he's still the immature boy who did not want to fight for what he wants.
"He left again?" Jude asked
"I believe so. Yesterday after you left he left because like his daughter does, he gave up" I said
"Wow. He ain't shit" she said
I sighed.
"My kids cried. They think they're the reason he won't come back" I said
"Oh hell no" she said
"Yes" I said
Before she could speak, my phone rang. It was him. She grabbed my phone and put it on speaker.
"What, asshole?" She asked
"Hello, ma'am. Normani, are you home?" He asked
"Why? Coming back just to leave again?" Jude asked
"Ma'am, I do not want any problem with you. Normani, can you answer me please?" He asked
"I'm home" I said
"Okay. Open your door, please" he said
The call ended and Jude opened the door.
"I should kill you, but I'll let you talk first" she said
"What's your name? You know me so well and I don't even know your first name" he said
"Her name is Jude and she was just going to the kitchen" I said
She gave me a glare and left us.
"I wanted to apologize for yesterday. I don't want to not be there for the twins. I will fight for them" he said
"That's good to hear" I said
"Where are they?" He asked
"Upstairs either taking a nap or on their iPads" I said
"Can you check? I want to talk to them" he said
"Twins!" I yelled
They came running but stopped when they seen him.
"Hi" he said
"Mom" Graham said
"Just come and listen to what he says" I said
They came down and stood by me. He bent down to their level.
"Okay, um, I'm sorry about yesterday. I walked out when I should've just listened to your mom. I almost gave up but I want to fight. I want you both to know I will be there whenever you need me. I won't leave you ever again nor will I not answer whenever you call on me. I love you both so much and promise to be the best father I possibly can no matter how much you both may hate me right now. I will be here everyday until I can say I made you both and your mother happy" he said
"That's the spirit, deadb- Austin!" Jude yelled from the kitchen
"Thank you" my twins said in unison
They went back upstairs, leaving him confused.
"You can say all of that, but my twins don't believe in words, never have and never will. They need you to show them all of that" I said
