Field Trip To Home

"Pete? Come on, you gotta go to school."

Peter opened his eyes groggily, the first thing he sees in Pepper smiling at him. He had been adopted by Tony and Pepper after May had died in a car accident. He sat up and yawned. He smiled back at Pepper and she left so he could get ready. He showered quickly and threw on a hoodie and jeans. He stuffed his suit and badge in his bag before running out of his room saying hi to the Avengers as he burst into the kitchen. He grabbed his lunch and an apple.

"Shit! I'm gonna be late! Bye guys!"

Peter ran out the door, leaving a chorus of goodbye and language behind.

Peter burst through the school doors, getting to his locker quickly and dumping his things before running to class, luckily making it a few seconds before the bell rang. He sat down next to Ned and they began excitedly chattering until the teacher began with lessons. He made it through his first 5 classes and lunch without a hitch. (I don't know how many periods you have, but I only have 6) Then came 6th period, his last period. It was chemistry, one of his favorite but also least favorite classes. He liked this class because he liked science, but he didn't like it because he shared it with Eugene 'Flash' Thompson. 

It was toward the end of the class, and Peter had spaced out mostly. Ned was rambling next to him and MJ was reading a book while the teacher wrapped up class. One thing that did grab his attention was the words 'field trip.' The last field trip he went on didn't go well, so he was not excited for another one. MJ grabbed his hand and smiled at him, knowing what happened the last time he went on a field trip. Peter smiled back at his girlfriend and listened to what the teacher was saying.

"Last year we went to Oscorp, this year we will be going to the Avengers Tower! Make sure to get it signed over the weekend! We go next Friday so I need it back by then! You are dismissed!"

Peter stared in shock for a moment, before MJ gave a harsh tug on his arm telling him to get up. He got up, trying to ignore Flash's taughts as MJ and Ned dragging him out of the classroom. 

When they got out to the hallway Ned forced a permission slip into his hand and smiled. MJ gave his hand a squeeze before letting go to sketch him in crisis. Ned rambled his way out of school and to Happy's car where Peter got in a left without saying a word to either of them. He was too busy thinking of a way to get out of this. He rambled to Happy about how he may be able to get out of this, Happy just listening of course, until they arrived at the tower and Happy told him to get out.

Peter burst through the doors, saying hello to the receptionist and scanning his badge quickly, wanting to get upstairs and talk everyone soon. He got in the private elevator and went up to the Avengers common room. He said hello to everyone who wasn't on some sort of mission and dropped his bag on the floor. He retrieved his homework and the permission and slip and went to find his dad. 

He found his dad in his lab, hunched over the iron man armor. Peter sat down next to him and began his rambling. Suddenly he stopped, remembering the slip and trying to decide if he should just pretend he lost it.

"H-hey dad? I need you to sign something. I also need you to make a promise."

Tony looked up, making eye contact for a moment and glancing down at the sheet. His eyes widen then he bursts out laughing.

"Only you would take field trip to your own home! I'm assuming the promise is not to embarrass you. Sorry son, but that's not happening. I'm telling everyone and there's nothing you can do about it. Also the Wakandas are coming over that day, so be prepared to run around with Shuri. Now go do your homework and go on patrol quickly. We are having family dinner tonight!"
