Peter Parker-Stark was used to just having Tony and Vision around. May had passed away in a car accident not long after Civil War, and Tony had been quick to swoop in and adopt Peter. He liked living with his new father. He loved his new family. He liked it small, just him, Tony, and Vision. He wasn't ready for more.

When Peter bounced home that day, he was expecting his father to be in the lab already. He went straight up to the lab but found it empty, so he asked Friday.

"Fri, where is dad?"

"He is in the living room young sir."

"Thank you, Friday! Oh, and call me Peter please!"

"Okay, Peter."

And with that Peter ran off, headed to his father to see why he wasn't waiting in the lab and to tell him about the 100% he got on his test today. Without thinking he bolted in shouting,

"Dad! I got a 100% on my physics test today! And I don't have any homework so I was thinking I would go out on patrol before we start getting to work in the lab!"

He bounded over to his father, practically tackling him not noticing all the eyes on him.

"Hey Peter, you can go out but first I have some for you to meet. Turn around buddy."

Peter let go of his father and sent him a questioning glance before turning around to see the rogue Avengers spread around the living room.

"Umm...Tony who is this? And why is he calling you dad?"

Peters' eyes widened and he tried to run off, but his father caught him and whispered in his ear.

"It's okay Peter, they won't hurt you."

Peter hid behind his dad, waiting for his father to say something to the others.

"So, this is my son Peter. I adopted him not long after the war. You guys also know him as Spider-man."

Everything was silent for a minute, then it exploded. Questions were flying a mile a minute. Peter clamped his hands over his ears and whimpered.

"ENOUGH! Your questions will be answered, but only if you speak quietly and one at a time."

When it was quiet again Peter took his hands off his ears and glanced at his dad before jumping onto the ceiling and sitting down in his web hammock, not wanting to be on the ground near the rogues. Tony called on Steve first, and he immediately started word vomiting.

"Tony you let us fight a child! How old is he?! You should not have brought him into our fight!"

Tony cut him off, sighing and rubbing the bridge of his nose.

"Look, Steve, Peter was doing this Spiderman business before I met him. I gave him better equipment, medical treatment, a home for goodness sake. I know it was wrong to bring him into our war, and I regret it every day. But I don't regret meeting Peter. And for your question, he is 15."

Steve stayed silent and Tony called on Natasha to speak next.

"What powers does he have? And how did he get them?"

"You take this one Peter. And get off the ceiling, I think you're freaking them out a bit."

Peter hopped down and sat cross-legged on the floor, speaking quickly.

"I was bitten by a radioactive spider. I have enhanced strength, senses, flexibility, speed, healing, metabolism, and reflexes. I also can stick to any surface and have a sixth sense that alerts me to danger. I make my webs in a lab and shoot them with my web-shooters."

Peter finally stopped rambling and looked up at his dad, clambering to get up and go over to him.

"Dad, can I go out on patrol now? I don't have any homework and I'll be home by dinner so we can work after we eat. Pleaseeeeeeee!"

"Fine Pete, just be back quickly and call me if you get hurt! I do not want another spider-child trying to remove bullets from his stomach with tweezers again!"

"Okay dad, I'll call you!"

And with that Pete double tapped his watch, which formed his normal suit. He opened a window and jumped out with a happy cry, leaving the Avengers in silence.

"That's Peter for you. Now, who wants to help me make dinner?"
