Natasha roamed around the airport after the fight, knowing there's not any way to go really. She had fought for Stark but had let Cap get away. Neither team would want her around. She thought back to the newbies. The shrinking guy and the spider. The shrinking guy was a challenge, but she found him annoying. The spider though, he sure had heart. She had seen the way he caught the loading dock and the fall he had taken. It looked like it hurt, badly.

Little did Nat know, Peter was still laying in the spot he had fallen. Tony had forgotten him there, too busy fuming that Cap and Bucky got away. So Peter lay there, most of his ribs broken and cracked. He had dislocated his wrist when he was thrown out the window by Red Wing. He also had broken his leg from the fall, had many small cuts from breaking threw windows, and had a large wound going through his stomach because when he landed fall Ant-man caused, he had landed on a piece of broken metal from the cars Wanda had been throwing. He was only partially conscious, and the most noise he could make was whimpers. So he whimpered and whimpered, trying to put pressure on the wounds as he drifted into unconsciousness.

Natasha continued wandering, stopping in her tracks when she heard whimpering. It seemed to be getting quieter and quieter, but she quickly followed it. It led her to the stop Spider-man landed. She was surprised to see the spider laying there. Why wouldn't Stark take him back? Had he just forgotten the boy he dragged into his war? When she noticed the spider go limp and the blood pooled around him, she ran over. She wavered for a moment, not sure if taking off his mask was right. But she needed to help him. She took off his mask carefully, gasping slightly when he saw his face.

"Why is Spider-man a kid?! Tony what have you done!"

She slowly picked up the boy, knowing he couldn't stay here. He had a pulse but she didn't know how long that would last. She didn't know who to call, so she found a not damaged jet and set up the boy in it, making sure to put pressure on the wounds. After his enhanced healing kicked in and the wound had healed partially, she began to fly the jet. She flew to Clint's farm, not knowing if he would be there. He wasn't, but Laura was and she talked to her. She set up the kid in a guest room. He was yet to wake up, but the kid had an insane healing factor that seemed to be doing it's job correctly.

It took 24 hours for Peter to wake up, but when he did the first thing he did was scream. Then he cried. He didn't know where he was, all he knew was that he wanted Aunt May. He wanted his friends. He wanted his home.

When Nat heard the scream she bolted to the guest room, finding the vigilante sobbing on the bed. She approached him slowly and sat down next to him. She spoke quietly, trying to calm him.

"Hey kid, glad to see you're awake. You need to take a deep breath okay?  You're safe now. What's your name? I can't keep calling you spidey."

Peter took a breath and looked at the woman, not excepting to see the Black Widow talking to him.

"P-peter P-p-parker ma'am."

"Okay Peter, how about you go back to bed, and in the morning we can figure out how to get you home. That sound good?"

Peter nodded and let his eyes shut, quickly falling back into darkness as Natasha ran her fingers through his hair.
