nick was never one for lying. he loved being completely transparent with his friends and family, but all of that ran down the drain the second he started sleeping with his best friend's fiancé, now wife, behind his back.
brandon and y/n danced on the dance floor, wide grins on brandon's face. it was their reception after their fairytale wedding and y/n couldn't look her new husband in the eyes knowing she was fucking his best friend, and have been for years now.
nick downed his drink, music growing fuzzy as he stared at the dancing couples on the dance floor, grins plastered on their faces. he wanted happiness, fuck he has it, it's just not completely his. he felt angry as brandon kissed y/n, laughing as she giggled and held his face in her hands.
anger filled nick as he walked up to the newlyweds, his mind grew blank as he grabbed brandon's shoulder and pulled him to the floor, punching the poor groom. brandon yelled as austin and edwin pulled him to his feet, just as confused as everyone around them was. nick was locked in zion's arms, breathing heavily. the feeling of regret and defeat filled his chest as he pointed at her. the words that left his mouth left everyone speechless.
"y/n, i'm so in love with you. please don't leave me like this."
brandon's face filled with confusion as he whipped the blood from his lip.
"what are you talking about?"
nick just shook his head, sighing. y/n decided to speak up.
"i've been sleeping with him for years behind your back, brandon. i'm so sorry."
he room ran silent. the only things able to be heard was y/n's cries and nick's heavy breathing.
brandon just stood to his feet, shrugging his friends off of him, tossing the wedding ring at y/n , and walking out silently. y/n just ran right after, followed by zion, edwin, and austin.
nick just grabbed his suit jacket from the chair he was sitting at and made his way to his car, thinking about how he can never show his face ever again.
