*Sam's pov*

Jay had been acting really weird yesterday maybe he finally accepted me? I was gonna try my luck sleeping in his tent it's way to cold outside and it's super dark I hate the dark

They were holding an event at the camp it was a huge barbeque it wasn't just for our school it was for about 30 of them there were lots of schools on this trip well on this camp

Jay asked me if we should go together for lunch of course I agreed but first i needed to have breakfast i settled on making myself some cereal but before I could finish filling my bowl a pair of arms found there way round my waist

I spun around and slapped them there's so many people on this camp it could LITERALLY be anyone

"Sam!" He growled as he held his cheek

Uh-oh or it could just be jay..

"I didn't realise! I'm sorry! Let me"

I asked moving his hand God his cheek was red i carefully placed my hand on his cheek and he flinched

"Sorry" I whispered

His cheek was red hot god I must've hit him hard I felt so bad but why was he trying to hug me..?

"Was there a reason you tried to hug me jay?"

His head dropped as if he was to shy to say but I lifted his head up by his chin and asked again

"I-just i wanted to get to the cereal" what a bad liar

" seriously just be honest"

"Well i-i want you to sleep back in the tent it's freezing out here of a night time and I just wanted to ask you that ok I'm sorry"

I pulled him into a hug and said yes his head was buried in the crook of my neck which was comfortable until he started breathing against it

"E-eep!" I squeal

Jay one hundred percent smirked and then moved a little

"Something wrong sam?"

I shook my head and tried to cover my red face as much as I could

I wanted to go to the tuck shop but this was like heaven so I stayed silent

One of the other kids started waking up and jay moved as fast as possible

"Let's go to the tuck shop" i stated

"Okie"

It wasn't the biggest shop but it certainly had what you needed we both paid and left the shop it was only a short walk back but I was red in the face jay was holding my hand!!

Only because i nearly ran into a bike but he still hadn't let go..

"Why are you holding my hand?" He asked

WHAT!? He held mine first!!

"Uh cuz you held mine?"

" No I didn't "

"Yes you did when I nearly ran into that guy on the bike?"

" Oh..yeah" he mumbled pulling his hand away

"Jay" I mumbled

"What?"

" we've got swimming tomorrow afternoon have you got your swim shorts? "

"Yes I have. Have you?"

" of course "

" good race ya back! " he yelled getting a head start how unfair! of course he didn't win though I've been running every morning before school which he didn't know

"How is that possible!? I got a head start and everything"

"I've been running every morning you should do it with me you'll get faster" I state

"Maybe I will"

We went back to camp and ate our snacks then jay insisted we went into the small woods

He loved being in there i guess it was kinda private plus it was such a beautiful sight

We found the odd cat wondering around jay was so scared of cats he jumped every time we saw one

It was already 5 O clock which meant we needed to head back to camp for supper

"We need to head back jay"

"Just five more minutes?"

" if you wa-"

He was running and giggling?

"Race ya!"

Seriously!? I started running but the woods didn't have an even floor obviously so I tripped and cut my knee

"Sam!"

" I'm fine! It's a small cut"

Well I didn't know that I just assumed but as we were walking back to camp may realized my jeans had a big red patch where my knee was bleeding

"Dude let's get you to the tent and we can sort that out I'll clean that up" jay said

But these were skinny jeans so? I can't roll them up maybe I'd change into shorts first

"Let me go in and change into shorts first please.." I mumbled embarrassed

"Of course" Jay replied rubbing his neck he's acting so weird lately what is it? Maybe he's nervous about swimming tomorrow

"You can come in now"

He crawled in the tent and looked at my knee i admit it was a pretty bad cut

"This might hurt" Jay added before dabbing a damp clothe on my knee

"No trash Sherlock" it stung he's obviously put some kind of antiseptic cream on it

"That's not my name"

"They call me stacey-" i added and he laughed before putting the damp towel in his backpack

Today was a long one but it was pretty good but tomorrow we had swimming i was very excited for swimming I've only been a few times since my parents divorced but I used to go with my dad every Saturday but we don't do that anymore

For supper we had curry which was the worst thing I've ever tasted everyone else must've thought the same because everyone left most of theirs on their plates

For some reason they made supper kinda early so I was starving mainly cuz I didn't eat any of it

Luckily jay and I had brought some snacks from the shops earlier

Jay and I ate and then we headed off to our tent to get off to sleep

Jay hadn't packed any pjs so he just wore a black top and some baggy sweat pants

I just wore my jeans and a top cuz I was to lazy to change
