Chapter 26. Vilus:

Vilus really shouldn't have been surprised by the attack attempted by Lijuan's Uncles old friend, Captain Shark, who now apparently was a rival but he was completely floored and jumped on top of one of the giant crates stacked against the main hull's walls. He had to act fast, if he didn't, well it wouldn't end well.

Peter and Vyrima were completely immobile, Lijuan moved like a ninja even in mermaid form and you could really see the power of her tail, as she flung bodies that kept trying to pile after her. Arms would grab her and she would jab the flesh, already wounded and scarred. The bodies fell overboard into the water, and blood pooled around them, making the red hue spread around the ship. Vilus could see dragons from overhead, flags with colors of purple and black, with a fairy emblem on it. Alex's colors.

"MONTY! We need to settle this now! Captain to Captain!" Captain Shark said he jabbed a spear through one of the pirates held into the wood on the flooring. Vilus didn't know why the guy didn't just use the spear on Monty. Not that he wanted him to, this was essentially gonna be Vilus's crew and ship soon. Monty drew a sword from behind his back and roared challenge.

"Death before the mast!" Monty screamed. Captain Shark looked familiar, and Vilus didn't know where from. The sky's now red crimson gleam that reflected off the red glow of the sun bounced and glowed off the bald man's cranium, and Vilus could see this guy's skin wasn't rotting.

Peter and Vyrima still struggled in their golden chains, the velvety looking material keeping them bound well. What was that gold chain? It had to be something foreign to keep Peter bound - being that he was a demon, technically. Vyrima, though? She was just a vampire.

Vilus jumped to one of the top moors and surveyed the surrounding chaos that danced around them, and the mist in the air swirled like a mask of impending doom, coating with a serene greenish glow. At some point, Vyrima seemed to wriggle free and disappeared from view.

Lijuan got tapped on the shoulder by Vyrima who had a dagger in one hand, curved on the blade at the end, and had a tethered silver chain with spikes on the other end.

Lijuan had her twin blade drawn in each hand and both girls stood back to back as they stabbed and parried the groups of pirates that kept coming at them. The pirates seemed to be imbued with major strength because Vyrima had to flip a few times to parry a couple of pirates when they tried throwing her.

Vilus wasn't sure how they would keep up with the coming hordes. On the edge of the ship, more groups were coming, and the ship that had boarded next to them, massive in size, Vilus had a feeling that the hordes they saw were just a sample.

"Arr, matey!" A chorus was heard as they were sent overboard.

A dark cloaked figure stepped on board on the edge.

"Hello, V." A flowing voice said. "Or shall I call you, Jeremiah."

Vilus squinted his eyes for a hint of the figure's face. He couldn't see anything for some reason. At the angle, he was looking there should be a glance.

The voice was very feminine and black fingernails reached forward and the hoards slowed down. Both pirate captains were dueling. The clashing sounds of metal, one tinnier than the other, clangs and large scrapes as metal collided. A cloaked figure, green eyes flashing in the sun, sped past Vilus and towards Peter and Vyrima. Vilus felt ice in his stomache, good or bad cloaked figure?

Vyrima and Lijuan had made their way by Peter who now after shocking the gold band a few times, seemed to have fried whatever it was that kept him bound. Kris tapped Vilus on the shoulder from behind and had been gliding.
