Part 9 "A Dance with Flame...on the Edge of Darkness"

Chapter 28. Vyrima:

Vyrima saw the dark form of Wraithe fly in front of her view of Peter, she focused her mind, and did what she could to push all the fear to the back of her mind, as she had been frozen, terrified. Abraxan was there, and he had tried grabbing for her, she sidestepped him.

"Yes, let's dance, Vy." He giggled.

Peter apparently saw what was happening and rushed to smash into Abraxan's body, Vyrima held his body in place. He wouldn't see it coming.

It hit full force, the collision, charged with the electric fire of hate. An energy wave surged around the area in giant dancing arcs. Men and fairies alike were sent flying into the air.

Alexandra had to cover her eyes. Sam ducked behind the dragon that was several feet away. Mindkrypt and Xiao were deeply locked in battle...several soldiers were lying dead on the ground, their eyes vacant. The essence of tortured souls filled the air, the smell of blood, and sulfur in the air...the souls kept bouncing to new bodies to take as vessels, some were successful, others not so much.

Students had filled out into the surrounding field, and Hardiss barked at them to not move, and he waved a hand in a solid motion, keeping them back. A blue wave of energy began to surround the school in an extra layer of magic protection. Bearklaw, and Lionel had begun helping with this, same with Aila. Pandora was with them, talking with her dad as they went about casting the magic. Soldiers of the dead were easily killing some of Alex's army, and she'd called for reinforcements. Another dragon had roared from above, raining fire down below and many of the armies had to part ways to avoid being torched. One skeleton soldier laughed as the fire reached him, and he landed on the ground, but then got back up and continued on.

Destin had come from the entrance of the school, apparently, she had run inside at some point. It was still surrounded by guards even through the chaos. She had a silver and blue glowing vial in her hand. She wore a robe, not fishnets or her normal leathery revealing attire. The robe was blue and purple, her aunt Priscilla's colors.

Abraxan flew high in the air, a scream of agony surging in the air. He began to recover from the brief massive shock and shook his head.

Peter's face contorted as he looked around, like scanning for more victims for the slaughter. He hadn't completely switched away from his other persona, she could tell, his eyes were a darker green.

Harmony had grabbed Peter, fingers creating a seeming invisible net out of thin air, and she giggled as she gestured fingers in the air.

"This is far too much fun. Peter, you fun little toy." She had that playful silky quality to her voice. She pulled Peter and had him walk towards her.

Vyrima closed her eyes and stared straight into the red eyes that had plagued her since she was a little girl. Her throat had constricted, her voice hoarse. Breathe in, breathe out.

She opened her eyes, and Abraxan was right there, his nose touching hers, and his acrid breath in her nose, she tried hard not to vomit, it caused her to back away, almost getting stabbed by a nearby mermaid, who snarled at her, before a hole blasted its way through the front of his face, showering Vyrima in brain matter. She screamed from the overwhelming sensations, and Abraxan grabbed her by the arm, tugging at her.

"What is your obsession with my daughter, you freak?!" Hunter screamed as he pelted Abraxan in the face with the back of his musket. Blood shot out of Abraxan's mouth in a spray of crimson.
