Facing difficulties at work, which resulted in a severe lack of money, Vaani resorted to the last thing a girl like her...

The young Prince was taken aback by her forwardness and frowned when he noticed the lack of titles in her name.
"Princess Vaani of what? Where do you come from young lady?" He voiced out.
Her response was instant and clear,
" Va--"
Then she halted abruptly and paled visibly. Caspian was deeply intrigued by this.
But after a few beats, her composure returned and she released those words that shocked the Prince.
"I am no Princess sir! I'm just a common worker here"
Sure he must not have heard well. Right! RIGHT!
"Excuse me?", Caspian was confused. He had never saw her around before and he was sure if that because he wouldn't have forget such a beauty.
"Uhh...No. In fact, excuse me, I have to go now. I had a great time talking with you!"
Before he had the opportunity to express his growing confusion, the King decided to grace them with his presence.
He bellowed loudly, "My son! I have been looking for you everywhere. What are you doing here?"
While any other girls would have cowered away and run from there, this girl simply took a step forward and curtsied gracefully.
"Your Majesty!"
Caspian was staring at the girl so intently that when his father spoke, he jumped.
"Every member of the Palace is asked to be present in the ball room. We have some important news to share. Mostly everybody is already there apart from you. Vaani, your presence is also requested. Now come on! "
The King turned and started his way towards the ball room. Vaani followed silently after him leaving Caspian to trail behind them.
He was busy admiring the grace of this beauty that he didn't realise when they reached their destination.
Vaani had stopped abruptly causing Caspian to run into her back.
She turned to look at him and was surprised on seeing a rush of colour rising up his cheeks. He mumbled a quiet sorry while rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly.
Vaani couldn't help but awed over his cuteness.
Caspian was getting worried that maybe not maybe but surely his manliness was fading away. Like he is blushing like a hopeless romantic just at the sight of her.
Man up, man up dude! Stop acting like a love-sick puppy.
See now he is having a conversation with himself. Maybe he needs to take a trip to the psychologist.
Caspian straightened himself and cleared his throat before resuming his confident strides towards the King.
Vaani was really puzzled upon seeing the well-decorated room; she wasn't aware of any upcoming guest arrival as the Majesty would have made them aware of any.
The ball room was simply a large room where the King and the Queen usually host huge balls or parties but sometimes they are even used for the welcoming of other Kings who visit them.
The room was spacious, table covering the edges of the room, and a huge diamond studded chandelier which sparkled every now and then.
There were butlers and maids bustling around the room, arranging the tables and the decorations.
Vaani spotted Camila behind one of the food-filled tables and quickly rushed over.
On seeing the look on Vaani's face, Camila let out a laugh and said in a rushed voice,
"The Prince Oliver is choosing his future-to-be bride also known as the lady who'll rule besides him. The Princesses all around the world have been invited to this event. So that's why there is a lot of 'va-et-vien'!"
Ohhh! That's what all this is about! She thought to herself.
Camila was giggling silently to herself. She let out a quiet "Lucky lady!"
Camila rushed Vaani behind one of the enormous table and said:
"Tonight is a very important night. So you better not mess anything up 'cuz the guests won't appreciate it. I have complete faith that you'll be amazing."
She then proceeded to hug her tightly.
After their little moment, she ushered Vaani out of the ballroom and told her to quickly freshen up and put on the uniform on her bed.
This is going to be a long and tiring night thought the girl.
