A/N:
I just wanna thank you all! Because...
THIS BOOK HAS REACH 100 READS AND I'M CRYING. YOU GUYS ARE THE ABSOLUTE BESTEST PERSON EVER. PLUS 50 VOTES. OHHH LOOORD. THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH. LOVE Y'ALLI edited this book a bit and I changed Nessa name to Vaani along with Alexander to Caspian.
The reason is that I don't feel like I'm getting the flow with these names. For one,Vanessa is the name of someone I know and quite frankly cause some shit in my life. Not that I'm saying Vanessas are evil. I love that name but it just reminds me of that particular person and I get discourage to write more.
As for Alexander, it is too used in every royal books I feel. It's either Alexander or Harry. But I tried to find something more rare.
I hope you all understand. Thank you😚
___________________________________"OH GOD! NO NO NO! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING NOW!", screeched Vaani.
It was already 5.45 p.m when Vaani finished putting on her uniform.
She was rushing past the several doors in the West Wing- where all workers stay when a young man accidentally dump his hot teapot on her.
Thankfully it was not piping hot but rather lukewarm.
She was frozen on the spot. The realisation of the consequences of this accident started running across her head.
The man was apologising nonstop.
Vaani paid no heed to the man but quickly rushed towards the East Wing.

It was 5.59 p.m when Vaani glided past the huge ballroom door.
After all, she was not technically late.
But she still would get an earful from Camila.
The room setup was pretty simple.
On either side of the room was two enormously, stupidly long table endorsed with delicacies. In the far front, the thrones gleamed proundly under the light of the huge chandelier. Then there was rows and rows if neatly placed chairs in the middle of the room. They were no doubt for the guests. Just behind the guests, the workers were to be seated.
To finish it all, a huge space was left for the ball to take place.
Vaani spotted Camila quietly seated on last row and rushed to her.
The King were not yet there, but they were all due to arrive at 6.00 p.m.
Upon seeing Vaani, Camila curtsied while muttering a low "Your Highness".
Nessa frowned and flicked her forehead before calling out her name.
The great shock on Camila face was astoundingly hilarious.
She gaped at her in a very unladylike manner before hissing a curse."Can you please explain why are you dress like this please Missy?"
Shiiittt Vaani knew this was going to be bad.
She quickly calmed Camila down and explain the whole situation in detail.
"-ea, so it was too late to get it clean and your uniform doesn't fit and I was late so I couldn't find any other optio-"
Her rant was abruptly cut off by the shrill sound of the trumpets announcing the entrance of His Majesty.
Even under the loud sound of the instrument, Vaani could hear the sharp whispers of the Princesses.
"Oh my gooood! Prince Oliver is sooo hot!"
"I think I'm wet just looking at him"
"Prince Caspian also is soo hot! If Oliver doesn't choose me, I'm taking his brother!"
"Damn! He will definitely choose me!"
The last one had her rolling her eyes. Vaani shifted slightly and spotted the speaker.
She was undoubtedly pretty with longe blonde hair and pretty blue eyes.
If anyone stand the chance with Prince Oliver, she would no doubt be on that list. She also had a slight accent which Vaani identified as French. She was the daughter of King Louis most probably.
Vaani was too deep in thought that she didn't realise that everyone was already seated.
If it wasn't for Camila who pulled sharply at her wrist, she would have faced indescribable embarrassment.
The entire hall was quiet.
Finally, the King rose from his throne and welcomed all of the guests. He proceeded to annonce that there will be a ball along which Prince Oliver will get the chance to interact with his suitors. Afterwards, they are all invited for a buffet.
A soldier, standing besides His Majesty blew his trumpet twice and everyone rose to their feet.
The King took hold of Her Majesty's hand and gracefully twirled her across the dance floor.
They opened the dance and the princes followed along with Princess Anna.
All the princesses followed the lead.
Apparently, the workers also were allowed to dance.
All of them paired up and started twirling and gliding across the floor.
Vaani spotted Camila already on the dance floor, with the guy that spilt tea on her. She tried to stifle her laughs when she noticed the guy stepping continuously on Camila toes.
Several princesses formed a crowd around Prince Oliver. All of them trying to get his attention
Prince Caspian was quietly twirling her sister along the music.
Vaani took that opportunity of seeing everyone distracted.
She walked to a quiet, comouflaged place behind the potted plants in the corner of the room and pull out her phone.
She dialed the familiar number and waited.
For a few seconds, she thought that the person won't pick up.
She then heard a small voice transfering from the technical device to her ear.
She quickly greeted the person and listed all the subjects needed to address. She made sure to keep her voice as low as possible.
After her weekly updates, she quickly tucked the device back and walked towards the dance floor.
Vaani had hardly reached there when a shadow loomed over her.
Dumbfounded, she stared at the person.
