Hold Each Other (Lou x Nolan)

Chapter 10

As darkness came, Lou was feeling a bit nervous. He did not want this day to end. This was the most fun he had in years and with someone he actually likes. As him and Nolan were going for a midnight stroll after the movies, he spotted a park bench nearby, ''hey, lets rest our feet for a moment'' he pointed to the bench.

Nolan nodded, ''Good eye. My feet are getting sore. I guess I'm not used to going for long walks.''

They made their way to the bench and took a moment to rest. Nolan put his roses down beside him and looked shyly at Lou. He never realized how handsome he looked in the moonlight. The thought of it made him blush.

''What's the matter?'' Lou asked, noticing the redness in Nolan's cheeks.

"Oh, I-I just think. Well...I think you look handsome.'' he said, fidgeting with his fingers. 

Lou scooted beside Nolan until they were hip to hip. "Heh, thank you. You know, I always thought you were cute.''

Nolan looked at him, "Really?"

"Really."

"But if you did, how come you never said anything when you were alone?"

Lou sighed. "I don't know. But I do know that after the library chat we had, do you remember that?''

Nolan nodded.

''After that, I felt, well stupid. It was just my 'leader self' talking. Not the real me. But when you were leaving, I did look at you.''

''You did?''

He nodded, "Yeah, I did. You had the most adorable uniform on, even though everyone was wearing the same one, yours made you look dapper. Charming.''

Nolan blushed again, ''Well....thanks.'' he smiled.

Lou put his arm over Nolan, "I never want this night to end. This is the most fun I've had in years. Being with you has made me so happy.''

Nolan looked at Lou, into those deep blue eyes again.  ''Lou, I...I have......''

Lou faced Nolan and giggled, ''You're so cute when you stutter.''

In the heat of the moment, Nolan leaned forward and kissed Lou. His lips were as soft as he imagined. With cherry chapstick. Lou was taken by surprise, ''Wow....."

"I'm sorry, that was stupid of me. I shouldn't have done that.'' Nolan said.

Lou had cut him off and and kissed him. Nolan wrapped his arms around Lou's neck. He tasted that chapstick again. They broke apart and Lou sighed, "I wish I could have told you I liked you years ago.''

''Hey, hey.." he lifted Lou's chin and looked into his eyes, "It's ok. It didn't happen and that's ok. We're together now.'' 

Lou sniffled, "You're right", he held Nolan's hand again. "We're together.''

They embraced one final time before making their way to Lou's mansion.
