The days were unreal. Something a doll couldn't dream of; pure fantasy.

I was living a fantasy.

The dream.

The one thing I always wanted.

And best of all:

Me and my boyfriend were both having the dream together.

Nolan loved every second of it. He was having the time of his life. Tyler never treated us badly, he was careful and gentle. I've heard horror stories of dolls thrown around, tossed on the ground dolls lost buttons. Tyler was different. Maybe he was the best kid ever and had supernatural abilities to treat dolls nicely. Or maybe he had a rough upbringing because he acted and dressed differently then the others. He knows that being bullied and mistreated feels like.

We had spent the entire day playing with Tyler. His Mother made us each suits and dresses and did 'make believe' proms and weddings.

I tried not to blush during the weddings but would slip up sometimes.

Nolan would blushed back.

And it made me think, am I ready? Is it too soon?

The words felt foreign to me.

Maybe there supposed to be. Maybe you're supposed to feel like you're going to throw up every few minutes from anxiety.

Maybe you do pace the house thinking of the perfect way and scared shitless out of fear of messing everything up.

Maybe it's ok that I'm like this.

Just maybe.

Hopefully anyway.

........

Tyler knocked out at 8PM. I took this moment to get things ready.

Nolan was snuggled under Tyler's arm. Sleeping  peacefully. I carefully nugged my way from Tyler's arm.

Nobody woke up.

Perfect.

I slid down the bed, which was bigger than it looked from the ground, and made my way into Tyler's closet, where I set up a small area for myself to think of ideas and began preparations.

I slid through the closets crack and slipped through piles of clothes and toys. I walked towards the small pink toy desk and flipped on the lap next to it. It, like the desk, was toy sized. Perfect for dolls.

I reached from the floor and pulled out papers. Composed of ideas and drawings. I sat in the chair and looked through my work. I had a couple options but I think I knew that I would do the one idea I was building piece by piece ever since me and Nolan became a couple.

Taking a deep breath, I stood up from the desk and went out of the closet.

I patted my pocket; it's time.

Creeping towards the bed, careful not to make a sound, I called to Nolan. "Hey.''

No answer. ''Psst, Nolan,'' I whispered again.

Nolan's head popped up, ''what is it, Lou?''

"Come down. I have something I want to show you.''

Nolan nodded and slid down the bed. He pointed, ''that thing is huge.''

I giggled, ''I know, it's much bigger than it looks.''

Nolan put his hands in his pockets, ''so what did you want to show me?''

I tried to hide my smile, ''It's a secret,'' I took his hand, ''follow me.''

The walk was the most nerve wrecking thing I have ever done. Butterflies filled my stomach, but the good ones. We walked through the kitchen, living room, and the parents bedroom. We reached a wall. Nolan was confused, ''This is a wall. We can't go through a wall.''

I nodded, ''Yes we can't, but there is something up the wall.''

Jumping to the nearby couch, I helped Nolan up. ''One more jump to the window.''

This time, Nolan jumped to the window no problem. I smirked, ''you learn fast.''

Reaching the window, I turned to Nolan. ''Do you know what's behind these doors?''

''We can't open them, the windows closed and it's too heavy to push open.''

"Ah, but I have made a contraption.''

Beside the closed window was a red button. I put my foot onto it.

Sounds of a toy car zoomed and the window shot open.

Nolan, looking from the window to the car stuttered in disbelief. ''Wha-what, how?''

''I attached some strings to the window from the car. With the push of the  cars remote, it shot off, pulling the strings from the window and opening it.''

Nolan playfully pushed me, ''You mastermind.''

We walked onto the concrete floor. Tyler's dad had attached it for birds to perch on, but it was too perfect not to use. Below it was the ground with flowers gone to sleep, and the local garden bunnies dreaming. Above was the best view from the house. The sky looked like it had millions of stars, it was deep blue, so deep you could fall asleep by looking at it. Nolan was in awe, ''Wow! This place is amazing.''

I smiled and sat on the ledge of the perch. We sat together our arms around each other. The sky looked warmer with Nolan next to me. My heart started to beat faster. My palms started to sweat. After a few minutes of looking at the stars, Nolan noticed me. ''Are you ok, Lou?''

''Yes! I'm just nervous.''

He was confused, ''about what?''

I pulled it out of my pocket, ''this.''

It was a black velvet box with a golden ring inside. It sparkled bright under the magical sky. My heart sparkled when I saw Nolan. I got down on one knee. Nolan covered his mouth in shock. He was speechless. His hands started to shake and tears formed in his eyes as they dripped down his face. ''Nolan, you fill my heart with joy. I never knew a doll could bring out the life in me that i thought I lost and buried away. You gave me a spirit again, you made me alive. Without you, id don't think I would know how to go on. I want to spend my life with you, not as your boyfriend, but as your husband.''

My voice was shaking and my nerves were shot, but seeing Nolan helped me say the question I had always wanted to ask him.

''Will you marry me?''
