“So, when are we going to.....When are we going to ask Eri if she wants us to adopt her....?” Hizashi asked softly, Aizawa shrugging his shoulders uncertainty in response to his blond lover's question.

The two men currently occupied the kitchen, the raven hero standing stiffly at the sink, scrubbing sudsy and syrup covered dishes that had been left over from that morning's interrupted waffle breakfast.

Since Hitoshi had taken Izuku home after the call from Tsukauchi, Aizawa was left to clean up by himself.

Hizashi lay on the freshly scrubbed down counter top, his long, silky blond hair pooling around his head and his long, lanky legs hanging off one side, his sock feet just brushing the tiled floors. His hands were laced over his boney chest, his thumbs twiddling nervously as he turned his head to stare at the tensed back of his smaller, alley cat lover, biting his lip nervously.

“I-I'm not sure....we could ask her when she wakes up....?” Aizawa responded uncertainly, his onyx black eyes focused completely on his current task as his rational mind raced, unsure what to say, an eerie silence filling the kitchen, punctuated only by the clink of plates and silverware.

The very child of their discussion lie curled up in the living room presently, her small body covered by a warm blue comforter that had previously been spread across Aizawa and Hizashi's now shared bed, the scene that unfolded at the police station proving too be too much excitement for the damaged girl, as she had passed out the moment she hit the sofa.

“Hey, Sho-Chan? Do you think I'm more of a Dad or a Mom?” Hizashi suddenly asked, Aizawa raising an eyebrow as he rinsed the soap off his hands and dried them on the kitchen towel, shrugging his shoulders uncertainly.

“I'm not sure...”

“I think I'm more of a Mom.” He hummed, a blissful smile growing across his face as he turned to look at his confused lover with a snicker, shrugging his thin, boney shoulders. “I mean, I like to do hair and laundry and play dress up....I think i'd be a good Mom.”

“Okay...You can be Mom if you want....” Aizawa mumbled softly, a small smile tugging his mouth as he started to put the dishes away in their respective cupboards, Hizashi humming happily from his perch on the counter. “I guess that makes me Dad then....”

“Well, you were the one who proposed to me, so technically I'm you wife....? I think that's how it works anyway.” Hizashi said with a confused expression, it turning to concern when he heard Aizawa gasp suddenly, followed by a slap of skin on skin as he face palmed hard, groaning in irritation.

“Shit, that's right! I still have to buy you an engagement ring....”

Hizashi's eyes widened slightly in surprise, hearing Aizawa begin to hurl rapid-fire curses at himself under his breath, his shoulders hunched and an anxious hand tangling itself in his hair, his elbows resting on the opposite counter.

“D-Damn, how could I forget that?! I've been saving up since we got back from the hospital.....I-I'm sorry, Zashi....”

“Shota, baby, its okay. You don't have to buy me a ring. I'm perfectly happy without one....” Hizashi assured in a soft voice, pushing himself up into a sitting position as Aizawa jerked his head in a half hearted nod, his usually monotone voice quiet.

“I-I feel like I didn't do it right.....When I proposed, I mean. You had just gotten out of surgery for gods sake and the first this I do is ask if you'd marry me....I didn't even have anything to offer you through marriage...You were still high on painkillers....”

“Baby, your spiraling. Calm yourself.”

“Yeah, I-I know its just I....I want to do this thing right...”
