"Okay, there's food in the fridge if you get hungry. We'll be back in a few hours." The raven haired man deadpanned with a bored look on his face, his tall blond companion standing flush at his side, one arm swung loosely over his shoulders as they faced the two boys in the doorway of the apartment, one fluffy haired and tired looking, the other rigid and plain looking, a smattering of freckles across his face as he looks up at his teachers.

"Dont worry, Uncle, Midoriya-kun and I have got it covered." Hitoshi assured, putting a friendly hand on the flushed and curly haired friend's shoulder and giving him a small shake, giving his uncle a grin. "Right?"

Izuku stiffened, nodding his head in affirmation, a nervous smile on his face.

"Y-yes, of course, Aizawa-Sensei and Y-Yamada-Sensei!" He stuttered, glancing at the purple haired boy beside him. "W-we'll take g-good care of Eri-Chan for you!"

"Thanks a lot, little listener! Knew we could count on you two!" Hizashi rasped with a grin, giving Aizawa a squeeze and ruffling Hitoshi's fluffy purple hair, the raven haired alley cat beside him nodding his head with a nonchalant expression.

"Try not to burn my house down, alright?" He stated blankly, his nephew rolling his eyes with a smirk.

"Love you too, old man."

"You already know I love you, so I shouldn't have to be say it."

"Whatever, uncle." Hitoshi deadpanned, smirking as he reached over and gave the two men a small shove. "Now get out of here! You'll be late for your date!"

"Night, Toshi!" Hizashi called, smiling as he tightened his grip on Aizawa, waving his arms before the stairs and giving the man a soft nudge. "After you, my love~"

Aizawa grunted, shaking his head as he started down, Hizashi following with a smile, swinging the car keys around his index finger with a chuckle. He pulled open the driver's side door and slid behind the wheel, Aizawa following suit and pulling the seatbelt over himself, sitting there in silence as the blond started the car and pulled out onto the street, Hizashi reaching over to fiddle with the stereo dial, trying to find a station.

Aizawa on the other hand remained silent, his hands folded in his lap and his eyes down, his head swirling.

He could already hear the whispers from here.

It didn't matter how many times he went out in public with Hizashi—tens of thousands of times as friends, but only once as lovers—but the remarks of passerby always found a way to him, criticism and snide comments on his appearance or behavior.

He knew compared to the eccentric, extroverted blond he want exactly appealing, even in proper attire, and with the media making their recent relationship public, he felt more than a little inferior, especially when the comments of onlookers reached his ears.

He tried to ignore it, told himself over and over he was worth it, that it didn't matter....

...but the remarks hurt.

He knew that at the end of the night the anxiety would fade, but for now, he let it ravage him, his rational mind racing.

"Shota...? Are you alright?" Hizashi called softly, jolting his lover out of his daze, Aizawa looking over with sharp inhale, forcing a halfhearted smile on his face.

"Y-yeah, I'm fine."

Hizashi stared at him a second, the neon lights along the street filtering through the tinted windows and bathing the both of them in dulled color, Hizashi sighing quietly as they slowed to a stop at the sign. The blond reached over as they waited, gently taking Aizawa's pale fingers in his own and holding it to his lips with a smile as he brushed his mouth along the raven's knuckles, chuckling softly.
