We've been in the hospital now for 6 hours. I feel really bad for Emma. The midwife said that the labour is so spread out that they're getting worried as it isn't normal. We're all just hoping that everything is going to be okay.

"Right, let's see how dilated you are." The midwife said as she came rushing in. "8cm! WOW! Huge progress! Well done Emma!" She was clearly shocked, and so were we. She was only at 5cm an hour ago, how does that work?

Two hours have passed and Emma has just been informed that it's time to push, as she's reached 10cm.

"Ready, and push. 1 ... 2 ... 3 ... 4 ... 5 ... 6 ... 7 ... and 8." The midwife said.

"You're doing amazing hunny!" Ethan said reassuring her.

"Here, have some water." Grayson says passing Emma her bottle. She takes a quick sip before pushing again.

"Come on Emma! You can do this!" I say, encouraging her. After this push, the baby's head is out, and she's just got the shoulders left to do.

"I can't do this anymore. I give up." Emma says, seriously distressed.

"You can't give up now!" I tell her.

"Yes I can!" She shouts back.

"Emma, my grandma told my mum this when she had me, so I'm going to tell you this too ... just 5 more minutes in pain for a life time of happiness." Emma nods and continues to push. Almost immediately, the baby is out.

"It's a boy!" The midwife says, holding the baby up.

One Week Later

"Are you sure you don't want us to stay and help you guys?" I ask Emma and Ethan, also kissing little Lucas on the cheek. The three of them have dropped me and Grayson off at the airport as we're heading to the Maldives for our honeymoon.

"We'll be fine." Ethan reassures me.

We say our goodbyes before heading onto the plane. It was a quiet journey there, mainly because Grayson was asleep most of the way there, but it's all good.

Sooner or later, we arrived at our water home for the week. It was beautiful. I can't wait to make some memories here with the love of my life.
