A Magical Night (NoahXKevin) (TT)

     It was a week before prom, Kevin and Milo were talking about what they wanted to do and who they were going with, "Yeah I don't think I'm going to go," Milo said, "Shit has been crazy lately and I need to be home so Mary doesn't flip her shit on John," Kevin nodded, "Yeah I get that, I just wish I didn't have to go alone," he responded and Milo shrugged, "You could always just not go," Kevin chuckled and shook his head, "Yeah, I know but, I would like too go," he sighed and looked down slightly. As they were talking Noah walked past them holding a small little notebook in his hands and jamming out to some music with ear-buds in his ears, Kevin looked over at him and smiled softly as he could feel his attention shift from Milo to Noah, Milo raised an eyebrow then started to chuckle "Why don't you ask him to prom?" he said and gestured at Noah, Kevin shook his head and looked at Milo, "Why would I do that? Last I heard he doesn't like proms and stuff like that, didn't he skip his prom last year?" Kevin asked almost stumbling over his words, Milo smirked and nodded slightly, "Yeah, but he didn't go because he had no one to go with and he had a test next week so he wanted to study," he said, Kevin sighed and rubbed his face slightly, "Just go ask him I'm sure he wouldn't mind going with you," Milo then lightly shoved Kevin's shoulder trying to get him to go over to Noah, "Milo! Stop it!" Kevin hissed under his breath, Milo then grabbed both of his shoulders and pushed him over Noah, Kevin stumbled over and accidentally bumped into Noah knocking his book out of his hands, Noah stumbled over and looked at Kevin, Kevin then turned and looked at him and adjusted his glasses then quickly picked up Noah's book and handed it back to him, "I'm so sorry about that Noah, Milo pushed me and I didn't realize you were behind me," he said and chuckled nervously then shot a glare at Milo, he smirked and leaned against the wall, Noah shook his head and chuckled, "It's alright," he said and put his notebook under his arm to hold it, Kevin smiled and let out a heavy sigh, "So, are you doing anything next week?" he asked, "Not that I know of, I know that I have practice for my band Thursday, but other than that I'm free all week," Noah said, "Why do you ask?" Kevin cleared his throat and nervously looked over at Milo who then nodded, Kevin then looked back at Noah and sighed, "I was wondering if you'd like to come with me to prom on Wednesday, it's black and white themed, I can give you a ride if you need one," Noah raised an eyebrow and tilted his head, "Prom?" he asked, "You mean the thing that everyone has been freaking out about for the past month now?" Kevin nodded and smiled nervously, "It doesn't have to be anything huge you know, we can go just as friends and if you don't like it we with in an hour we can leave and go watch a movie at my place or just get some food and I can take you home," he said getting really nervous, Noah stared down for a moment then shrugged and looked back up at him, "Sure, I don't mind, what time is it?" Kevin stood there for a moment with his eyes wide, he was shocked that Noah actually said yes to going with him, "Wait, you said yes?" he asked making sure his ears wasn't lying to him, Noah squinted and nodded slightly confused why he was asking, Kevin then smiled happily, "Okay, great! I'll pick you up around 2 o'clock, is that good? School is getting out early and the prom starts at 2:30," he said, Noah nodded, "Yeah sure, that's fine with me, what do I wear?" he asked, that's when Milo walked over and smiled, "No worries my cousin, I will help you pick out an outfit," Kevin looked at Milo and shook his head, Noah looked at him confused and then sighed, "Alright," he said, Kevin smiled and chuckled, "Well, that's great, we'll talk more on the details later," he said as the school bell rang. Time had flown by fast as it was already Wednesday and school was let out pretty early sense they needed to set everything up in the gym, Milo had went home with Noah when schooled ended and took him out to the tux shop, "So are you going?" Noah asked as Milo sat there looking through a rack of white tux tops, "Nah, Mary wouldn't let me go, says it stupid and what not, plus shit has been hitting the fan lately so John needs me home to keep Mary under control," he said, Noah nodded, "Crazy bitch, I'm surprised you haven't killed her yet," he said and Milo let out a low chuckle, "Some day, I'm sure I will," he said and pulled out a white tux top with a black neck lining, "You like this?" he asked and showed it to Noah, Noah nodded and he stood up and looked at it, "So it's black and white themed right?" he asked as Milo nodded, "All we need now is some white fancy pants to go with it," he said, "You're going to wear a black button up shirt under it as well," Noah sighed and pulled out his phone, "We should hurry, it's like 12 already," he said. They finished their shopping and bought what they needed and headed back to Noah's house, by 1:30 Noah took a shower and got dressed and fixed up his hair a bit, "How do I look?" he asked as he walked out of the bathroom, Milo smiled and nodded, "You look great Noah, I'm so proud of you!" he joked, "My little cousin is all grown up and got a date to his first prom!" Noah's face immediately flushed a bright red, "It's not a date!" he said and covered his face, "We're just going out as friends, like Kevin said!" Milo laughed and shook his head, "Oh I'm just teasing you," he said and stood up putting his hand on Noah's shoulder, "You'll be fine, I promise," Noah sighed and rubbed his face, "I hope so," he said, "What if something goes wrong? Like what if I mess something up or make a fool of myself?" Noah asked, Milo shook his head, "You won't I promise," he said and then pulled out a white rose, "Here, give that to Kevin when he gets here, he'll love it," Noah took it and looked at the white rose, he sighed and nodded. Out of no where there was a ring out in the living area, "Well, you're rides here!" Milo said and chuckled, they both walked to the front door and Milo answered it, Kevin stood there looking nervous, "Hey Kevin, come on in for a few seconds," Milo said and moved out of the way, Kevin nodded and walked inside, his outfit was similar to Noah's just black and white instead of white and black, Noah looked at him in awe he had never seen Kevin in a suit before and he looked stunning, Kevin looked back at Noah and smiled softly, "You look great," he said, Noah blushed and cleared his throat, "Uh, yeah, thank you," he stuttered, "You look great as well," Kevin chuckled softly and walked over to him, "I have a gift for you, it's a black rose to go with your outfit," he said and held out a gorgeous black rose, Noah stared at it and gently took it from Kevin's hand, "Thank you," he said and put it in an empty pocket on his suit jacket, he then remember the white rose Milo gave him, "I have a gift for you as well," he said and held out the white rose, "Milo said you like these and well, I decided to give it to you," Kevin smiled more, his heart pounding slightly out of excitement and nervousness, he took the rose and put it in his suit pocket as well and chuckled, "Thank you, it's amazing," he said, Milo cleared his throat and crossed his arms with a smirk on his face, "Hey love birds, it's getting late," he said, Kevin frowned slightly as Noah covered his face once again, "Right, sorry," Kevin said and looked at Noah, "Are you ready to go?" Noah nodded slightly and sighed, "Alright, I'll take you to our ride," Kevin said and lead him to the door, "Alright, Kevin," Milo said and put his hand on his shoulder looking at him dead in his eyes, "I want him back by 11, no time later," Kevin backed up a bit and chuckled, "Milo! Quit it!" Noah growled, both Kevin and Milo let out a small laugh and then Kevin lead Noah out to the vehicle, Noah gasped as he saw something he wasn't expecting, a small black limousine sat out in front of Noah's house, "Like it?" Kevin asked and he walked over to the door and opened it for Noah, "How did you get this?" he asked, Kevin chuckled, "I was able to rent a family one for the night, it's only going to drop us off but don't worry, my car is already at the school in case we wanna leave early," Noah got in and Kevin followed after. When they arrived at the school there was a bunch of other kids at the entrance of the school, the limousine pulled up to the front and everyone stared at it confused, the driver got out and then opened the door for Kevin, he got out and held out his hand, Noah grabbed on to it and got out as well, Kevin smiled at the driver and thanked him, giving him a 20$ bill and lead Noah to the doors, once in the gym they saw a bunch of people dancing and talking, people getting their pictures taken and eating food, "Well, what do you want to do first?" Kevin asked, Noah looked around nearly overwhelmed with how many people there were, Kevin frowned slightly then looked over at the food table, "You hungry? Lets get something to eat first and sit down for a bit, then we can figure out what we want to do," he said, Noah nodded and they walked over to the table, once they grabbed food they found a table off to the side and sat down to eat, "Well this is interesting," Noah said taking a bite of of his food, Kevin nodded, "It sure is, I'm glad they chose this theme though, there were several different ones that they had us vote on and luckily this one got the most votes," he said, Noah smiled slight and sighed, "Is everything alright?" Kevin asked, Noah nodded, "Yeah, there's just a lot of people here," he said, "Ah, I see, well we don't have to do much," Kevin said reassuring him, "We can just chill here and talk, maybe get our pictures taken and get a slow dance in," "I don't even know how to slow dance though?" Noah said, Kevin chuckled, "Don't worry, it's easy, I'll lead okay?" he said, Noah sighed and shrugged. After awhile of chatting and waiting for the crowd of people to calm down, Kevin lead Noah to the picture area where a photographer stood, "Hey Jay," Kevin said, "Oh hey Kevin, you guys want your pictures taken?" Jay asked, Kevin nodded and smiled over at Noah, Noah smiled slightly back at him, "Alright, it's only 15$," Jay said and held out a basket filled with money, Kevin placed a 15 in there and smiled, Jay then lead them to their spots, "Alright, do you want to sit, stand or what?" he asked, "We'll stand," Noah said and Kevin smiled, "Alright, pick a pose and I'll take the picture when you're ready," Jay said, Kevin then softy grabbed Noah's hands and pulled him close to him, "This okay?" he asked, Noah blushed softly and nodded, they both looked at the camera and smiled, Jay chuckled and took the picture, "Alright you two, I'll let you know when the picture is ready and in a frame," he said, Kevin smiled and let go of one of Noah's hands, "Thank Jay, see ya in class tomorrow," he said, Jay nodded, "And you enjoy your night," he said, Kevin then lead Noah back over to their table, "I can't wait to see what it's going to look like!" he said with a smile, Noah chuckled slightly and shook his head, "Yeah, I'm sure it'll look nice," he said, Kevin then pulled out his phone and looked at the time, "So are you enjoying it so far?" he asked, Noah nodded, "Yeah, honestly it's alright, better than I imagined," he said and Kevin smiled, "That's good, they should be playing another slow song next and then after that we can head out or something," he said, Noah nodded, "Sounds like a plan," after a few songs passed a slow song started to play, Kevin turned his head over and saw that no one was really dancing, he stood up and held his hand out to Noah and bowed slightly, "Care to dance?" Noah looked at him and blushed slightly, he then smiled and took his hand and stood up, "I'd love too," he said, they both walked over to the dance floor and began to dance to the song, Kevin held Noah close to him and lead the dancing, Noah looked up at him and smiled slightly, Kevin looked down at him and their eyes locked, it was a magical moment for the both of them as they swayed along to the music. Once the song stopped Noah snapped out of his trance and noticed that they were both really close together, he quickly pulled away and covered his face, Kevin blushed and chuckled nervously, "Sorry, I didn't mean to get so close," he said, Noah shook his head and rubbed his face, "It's okay, no worries," he said and smiled slightly, Kevin smiled back and chuckled, "Kevin Haas! Your picture is ready," Jay called out from afar, "Here, why don't you go get a drink and sit at the table while I go get the picture, okay?" Kevin said, Noah nodded and quickly made his way to the drinks as Kevin made his way to the picture area, Noah refilled his drink and walked over to the table and sat down, he took a nice long drink and sighed, he pulled out his phone and sent Kevin a text letting him know he was going to go to the bathroom, he stood up and left his drink on the table and made his way to the restroom, he looked into the mirror and sighed, "Why is my heart racing so fast?" he spoke softly to himself and placed his hand over his chest, "I don't understand why I feel so fuzzy," he sighed and turned on the sink, he splashed his face with a little bit of cold water to help cool down his face, he phone then went off and he dried off his face and hands and grabbed his phone out of his pocket, it was a text from Milo asking how everything was going, he responded with an 'it's going great' and put his phone back into his pocket, the door then opened behind him and he looked into the mirror to see a dark figure standing there with a big grin, he quickly looked behind him to see Kevin standing there, "Noah?" he asked concerned, "Are you okay?" Noah cleared his throat and nodded, "Yeah, I'm okay," he said, "Did you get the picture?" he asked, Kevin nodded slightly, "Yeah, I'll give you copy on Friday sense they only gave me one photo," he said, "Are you sure you're okay? You look like you saw a ghost," Noah nodded and walked over to him and gave him a small hug, Kevin smiled slightly and then hugged him back, he looked up at him and cleared his throat, "Lets get out of here okay? I'm getting a little tired," he said, Kevin nodded and pulled away, "Alright, we can go get some Chinese or something," Noah smiled slightly, "Yes! I'm so hungry!" he said as they both left the bathroom. Kevin lead Noah out to the car and let him in the passenger side, he then opened the back door and put the box with the picture inside it on the back seat then made his way to the drivers side after closing the door, he hopped in and started the car, "Did you have fun?" he asked looking over at Noah who was looking out the window, he turned his head and smiled at him, "Yeah actually, I had a great time thanks to you," he said, Kevin smiled, "Awesome, I had a great time too, I'm glad you came with me," he said as pulled the car out of the parking lot, he then drove them to the nearest Chinese restaurant and parked the car, they both got out and walked inside, getting their table and ordering their food. They chatted and ate their food, then opened their fortune cookies, "What does yours say?" Noah asked looking at Kevin as he munched on his cookie, Kevin looked at his paper, "You will have the greatest night of your life," he read, "Well it's already happening so, true," he chuckled and placed it down, "What about yours?" he asked, Noah looked at the piece of paper laying in front of him, "You will meet the love of your life on a magical night," he read and put it down, he scoffed and shook his head, "I don't think so," he said, Kevin chuckled slightly and his smile weakened a little, "Well, lets finish up and I'll take you home," he said, Noah nodded. After they left Kevin drove Noah home and walked him up to his door, "I had a wonderful night," Kevin said, Noah nodded, "It was pretty fun, thanks for taking me," he said and opened his door, Kevin chuckled and nodded, "Well, see you tomorrow I guess," he said, Noah nodded and walked inside, "Yeah, see you tomorrow," he said and shut the door, Kevin frowned and let out a heavy sigh, he walked back to the car and got in, shutting the door and starting up his car again, he gripped onto the steering wheel and shook his head, "He'll never love me, or even figure out that I love him, will he?" he could feel his heart drop and he slightly hit the wheel, "I should have fucking kissed him or something!" he groaned, "Oh well, at least we had fun, that's all that matters," he sighed and drove off.
