Chapter 9: Do I Know You?

The rider stays there for a second then flies forward and takes Hiccup and Astrid. Toothless falls from no help with the tailfin and falls to the water below.

"No Toothless! He can't swim! Let us go!" The dragon keeps flying. The dragon brings them to a dark tunnel and drops them on the ground. The two stand there in wonder. A dragon comes into the tunnel and sets down a black dragon. Hiccup recognizes the dragon as Toothless.

"Toothless!" Hiccup runs to him and Toothless opens his eyes and stands up and licks his rider. The dragon that brought them here jumps down and hits a staff on the ground and the dragon surrounding them, light fires in their mouths.

"Who are you?" Asks Astrid, who is not happy being flown here by force from a dragon.

The person doesn't answer. Instead, they crawl or walk to Toothless, wave their hand, and Toothless rolls over.

The person looks at Hiccup. They crawl walk to him and puts their hand by his chin but Hiccup looks a little shocked, confused, and a little bit of scared. Astrid too.

This person could kill them. Or they could keep them host-edged. Or even worse.

"Hiccup?" Says the person. It sounds like a female. "Could it be? After all these years?" The person taks off the mask.

"Do I know you?"

"No... But a mother never forgets."
