"So. Your son didn't die..." says a rough, dark, full of hatred voice. Stoick looks up and sees Drago Bludvist sneering at the chief. Stoick stands upfrom his wife, unconscious son, and son life long crush, Astrid.
"No. Not even your alpha could break my son." Stoick says, standing up and glaring at Drago. He walks over to him.
"Ah... That's the thing. My dragon didn't try to kill your son, his pet dragon did."
"But on the alphas command! Toothless would never hurt my son! You should be glad he didn't or else, I'd make you wish you'd never be born!"
"Is that a threat?" Says Drago, smirking at Stoick.
"You could say that." Stoick says while his hand grabs the handle of his hammer.
"You wanna fight, I see. I don't think it would be fair you see. I have a dragon army and you on on your own."
"That doesn't matter. I fight for what I live for, for what means something to me. For you, its all different."
"Say what you want. I'd fight you single handed, with out dragons, and I'd still win."
"Lets see then, if you are right, or if I am."
Drago takes out his sword, a look of determination on his face. Same with Stoick, but something else, determination and anger for trying to kill his son.
Mean while, Valka and Astrid, are trying to wake Hiccup up.
"Hiccup. Wake up!" Says Astrid, starting to get worried. What if he could have died? What if he doesn't wake up? She puts her head to his chest and hears the faint thump of his beating heart.
She huffs. He is alive, for now. If they don't get to Berk soon, and Hiccup doesn't get proper treatment, he could die soon.
"What if he doesn't wake up?"
"He will. Toothless didn't kill him."
"It wasn't Toothless! It was the alpha!"
"Yes. I understand that. But you can't give up hope. You need to have hope in Hiccup to wake up."
"I do, but I can't imagine what would happen if he doesn't wake up. I really like Hiccup."
"I think its more than that." Says Valka smiling at Astrid.
"What? I...I... I don't know what you mean." Her voice hits an octave higher when she says that.
"Whatever... I-" she stops. She looks to her left and sees a hammer on the ground, Drago with his sword to Stoick throat.
"Stoick..." she says with fear in her voice that can't be ignored. She starts to get up in a hurry but Astrid grabs her arm to stop her.
"Don't. He will kill him if you try to save him. Or he will kill you. Or both. You need to stay. Hiccup needs you. He needs a parent. You may not have been there for 19 years, but you can be there for the rest." Valka looks at her. She sighs.
"Surrender or watch your chief die!" Says Drago with pride showing in his voice.
"Stoick!" Yells Valka. She runs over but Astrid grabs her arms again, restraining her.
"Move and I kill him. Surrender."
"We won't surrender to you!" Yells Valka.
"Fine then. Have it your way." Drago takes the sword of Stoick's throat, and it goes straight through Stoick's stomach.
"No!" Someone yells from the crowd.
Stoick falls to the ground, clutching his stomach as Drago smirks as he sees Stoick in pain and people moving out of the way so one person can come through.
"Dad..."
