Luke
Michael hasn't talked to me in four days. After we kissed, he asked me to leave. He said he had to think or some bullshit like that. When I walked past him in the hallway, he pretended I wasn't there and looked at the floor. He hasn't been at school since Monday and that kind of freaks me out. I don't really know much about Mikey but I do know he has 'issues'. I've sent him countless texts and left almost twelve voicemails. He probably thinks I'm a psychopath now. Nice one Luke.
No one at school has seen him, i know he doesn't really have friends but come on. The only person I've ever seen him with is that blond Ashton kid. I think he's a senior.
After seventh period was over, I waited outside on the front stairs of the school next to the parking lot hoping to catch Ashton on his way out. He walks past me and I run to him, almost tackling him in the process.
"Hey, what the hell? Watch where your'e going!" He looked pretty intimidating, a few inches taller than me, with messy, curly blond hair.
"Have you seen Michael?" I blurt out, not even bothering to apologize for almost knocking him over.
He scoffed at me, "Look, if Mikey wanted to talk to you, he would have, so just leave me alone." He shoved past me and walked towards his car.
When I got home I was exhausted. It was already pretty late. I tried to follow Ashton's car but ended up losing him after about twenty minutes. I drove around aimlessly for a couple hours before finally giving up and going home.
Coming through the front door, I saw that my mom was back from work and was passed out on the couch. She's a nurse in the emergency department, so sometimes I don't see her for an entire day at a time.
After a while of just sitting on my bedroom floor trapped in thought, I decided to clear my head by taking a walk at the park by my house. The wind was freezing as it blew against my bare arms. Why the fuck did I not bring a hoodie. I sat down alone on the old rusty swingset on the playground. It made loud squeaking noises as I rocked back and forth. There was a faint outline of a body in the grass on the other side of the playground.Every now and the it would shift slightly. I wasn't scared, it was probably just a homeless person or something. Breaking the silence, the "person" finally spoke.
"Do you mind leaving?" The words were slurred, but I still recognized the voice immediately.
"Mikey?" I whispered, standing up from the swings, which made a horribly loud creaking noise. I walked over to the almost lifeless body laying down in the grass next to the old maple tree. It was him, the dim light I could see bruises forming on his face. There were bottles scattered around him on the ground.
"Oh my god, Mikey what happened!" I was in between yelling and trying not cry. I pulled up his body so it was propped up against the trunk of the tree.
"Luke! How are you! I'm just taking a nap." Mikey giggled. He was definitely drunk. I grabbed his hand and pulled him to his feet.
"Mikey, I'm taking you home. Where do you live?" He looked at me.
"I'm only going home if stay there with me." He tapped his finger on my chest. Who knew Michael was a horny drunk?
"Fine, but you have explaining to do."
Longer chapter, cool. Next chapter is Mikey's POV
